Ray and Karen have a dinner date.
She is happy to get some time with him because he’s been so busy handling his tax issue. However, Karen has been busy herself working on her fragrance and the charity she started in honor of her mother in law who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
Karen is planning a charity dinner to contribute funds to finding a cure.
Although Karen is enjoying being busy, Ray says that he feels she has too much on her plate. Karen then says things would be easier if both of her parents were not sick.
She breaks down in tears when she discusses not being ready for her mother to pass away. She recalls telling her mother she can’t die yet because Karen feels she has more life to share with her mother.
Gizelle is feeling like Karen isn’t a true friend to Robyn.
Ashley and Gizelle go jewelry shopping for Robyn.
They are looking to get her gift for all the work she put into planning her upcoming event. The conversation then changes to Monique.
After Ashley tells Gizelle that Monique asked her if Ashley would be attending her event while they were out bowling, Gizelle says Monique is trying to talk other people out of attending Robyn’s event.
Karen is brought up and Gizelle says it was shady for Karen to tell Robyn she would be attending her event just to change her mind and go to Monique’s instead.
“I’m just baffled as to why she would turn her back on Robyn.” – Ashley
“I don’t know.” – Gizelle
Kyndall hangs out with Monique.
Monique is thrilled to have Chris at home a lot more.
He’s a football coach for a nearby high school, but now that training camp is over, he’s able to spend much more time at home. Monique is happy about this.
She gets a visit from Sherman’s ex wife Kyndall.
In a green screen interview, Monique says that “out of respect” she tries not to invite Kyndall places that she knows Gizelle will be.
Kyndall says they have been divorced for almost five years.
“Divorce is the hardest thing…but I think marriage is harder.” – Kyndall
She tells Monique it was tough to try to make her marriage work with Sherman.
Back at the jewelry store, Ashley asks Gizelle how things are going with Sherman.
Gizelle tells Ashley that they are no longer together.
She explains how he became distant and how he was clueless when she called him out for not being around much.
Ashley wonders if Gizelle shouldn’t be so quick to walk away over the first issue. But Gizelle is convinced it’s best to move on.
In a green screen interview, Ashley says she doesn’t want to reveal what Monique told her about Sherman recently because she doesn’t want to kick Gizelle while she’s down. On the previous episode, Monique told Ashley that Sherman’s marriage ended because he was caught in the park with an escort.
Monique tells Kyndall that she met Sherman for the first time at Gizelle’s birthday party.
She mentions that Charrisse felt it was awkward for Gizelle and Sherman to date since Charrisse is friends with Kyndall.
But Kyndall says she found it strange since she knows Gizelle pretty well, and didn’t anticipate that she would end up dating Sherman.
Kyndall says it was disrespectful for Gizelle to date Sherman because they hang around the same people and Gizelle has always been cordial, even asking about her kids when they see each other out and about.
Monique agrees with this.
“It’s disrespectful and trifling.” – Monique
Kyndall then says that Gizelle could have at least called her and told her she was dating Sherman.
She found out they were dating after their son said he saw her “friend” Gizelle at Sherman’s house.
“That’s how I found out.” – Kyndall
In a green screen interview, Monique says a woman shouldn’t date the ex husband of a woman she knows.
“I just think she’s very self-serving. As long as it satisfies her, she doesn’t care.” – Kyndall
As Robyn prepares for her event, she talks about how much it means to her to show other women that they can build empires. She remembers losing everything and now having to work herself back up. She feels like going through what she did was empowering.
Charrisse wants Monique to get her own friends.
Monique arrives to the black tie event.
GiGi and Charrisse are the first two to meet Monique there.
Robyn’s mother comes to her women empowerment event and surprises her with flowers.
When Gizelle arrives, she asks Robyn how she feels about Charrisse not being there. Robyn says it’s disappointing and she thought they were close friends.
In a green screen interview, Robyn says she feels betrayed that Charrisse chose Monique’s event instead because they have known each other the longest.
They also think Karen was wrong to say she was attending just to switch up later to go to Monique’s event.
Ashley and Candiace arrive not too long after.
Back at the black tie event, Monique reveals that she invited Kyndall since Ashley decided not to attend. This irritates Charrisse, and she says in a green screen interview that Monique has been befriending a lot of her friends behind her back.
Needless to say, Charrisse is not happy that Kyndall has been invited to the black tie affair.
“I didn’t know that you invited her to this.” – Charrisse
“You know how I move, I started moving and not thinking.” – Monique
In a green screen interview, Monique says she doesn’t understand why Charrisse is upset.
Charrisse and Monique question Karen’s true intentions.
Kyndall and Karen then get to the event. Karen reveals that she’s known Kyndall for 15 years.
She then invites Kyndall to her charity dinner, where Gizelle will be.
In a green screen interview, Karen says she’s not being messy because she’s known Kyndall longer than she’s known Gizelle.
“She’s going to have to deal with the fact that I’m going to be around.” – Kyndall
After Karen tells Kyndall that she will allow her to bring a date because it’s “comped” and on her, Monique and Charrisse quietly discuss the fact that Karen told them to write their checks (donations) out to her for profit business.
“Now Karen you know that you’re my girl. But why in the world are we writing a check out to Icon Enterprises, your personal company? What does Icon do? Is that the hair line? The next time I see her that wig better be extra fly and it better not shift.” – Monique
At Robyn’s event, Gizelle tells Candiace that she’s not paying for a thing at Karen’s event because she just wants to collect everyone’s money and get a tax write off.
When Monique questions why Karen is asking people to write their donation checks out to her personal for profit business, Karen says she’s doing things the way she wants and it’s none of Monique’s business.
Monique then whispers to Charrisse about her annoyance with Karen.
“She says it’s none of my business but it’s my money.” – Monique
In a green screen interview, Karen says that she’s asking people to donate to her for profit business so her accountant can track everything.
“I am hosting this, so it’s going through my business so the accountants can track all funds that will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association directly.” – Karen
She checks Monique at the dinner table.
“I can do my dinner any motherf*cking way I want to. Thank you for coming and never ask me again. We good? Thank you.” – Karen
Robyn is out looking at another potential house to flip.
The house is pretty damaged and cost around $25,000.
She FaceTimes her mother to see if she’s interested in buying the property.
It will potentially be a $50,000 profit. Her mother tells her to go for it.
Candiace and Chris clash.
Chris and Candiace go see another potential wedding venue. Since the last outing wasn’t a success with her mother in attendance, she’s thinking things will be smoother.
After Chris breaks down how expensive it would be for Candiace to decorate the ceiling with flowers and chandeliers, Candiace tells Chris he’s being annoying.
“I need to get up from here before there’s no wedding.” – Candiace
Chris and Monique have a date at the nail salon where both enjoy pedicures.
Monique pulls a bottle of wine from her purse so they can both have a glass.
They talk about the fact that Monique is trying to get out of his shadow and have her own businesses.
He would prefer Monique just be a housewife but respects her choice to do her own thing. He asks when they can have more kids, and Monique says she’s still trying to process having a miscarriage.
Michael explains why he’s not confident in having kids with Ashley.
Michael and Ashley go out for dinner. He tells Ashley that he’s now the largest developer in the area again. They toast to his real estate business expanding, and Ashley asks if that means that they can start working on having kids.
“No babe. That’s not connected. Let’s not ruin this night with that discussion.” – Michael
Ashley tells him that he needs to be honest and says he just doesn’t want to have kids if that’s the case.
But she’s not here for him playing coy on the topic.
“You want to know the truth? I need you to push away from your mother because I don’t want you to look after my children in the way that your mother has looked out for you.” – Michael
“Excuse me?” – Ashley
“I’m asking you to step up.” – Michael
He then says that he wants Ashley to be able to show their kids they can have anything if they work hard.
“I want you to show them at all stages that hard work and ethics and honesty and loyalty are what things are all about.” – Michael
“I don’t think you should hold me accountable for what my mother is doing when I’m Ashley. I’ve seen everything. I went through it. I’m able to pull from it to be better. And I actually give that, something better to my kids. I don’t think it’s fair for you to do that babe.” – Ashley
In a green screen interview, Ashley says that the comments Michael made about Sheila are the “biggest digs” he’s ever taken.
She feels like she can never be comfortable with Michael because the rug can be pulled from under her at any time.
Michael tells her that they spent so much time separated because Ashley showed him the effect Sheila has on her when it comes to looking after children.
When he realizes the conversation is getting intense, he suggests they change the topic for now.
In a green screen interview, Ashley questions why Michael married her if he has a problem with her upbringing.
Robyn and Gizelle plan to confront Karen.
It’s the night of Karen’s charity dinner.
Members of the Alzheimer’s Association are there in support.
Robyn and Gizelle are out having dinner.
They discuss Karen and both feel like she’s not someone they can trust anymore. Robyn specifically says they should go to her charity event and confront her for her actions.
Gizelle says Robyn should apologize for skipping out of Robyn’s event. But Robyn doesn’t want an apology. She’s just over Karen completely.
Ashley and Monique arrive with their husbands.
Back at dinner, Gizelle says Karen told her to tell her that Kyndall would be at her charity dinner. Robyn thinks it’s really messy for Karen to have invited Kyndall. Gizelle agrees.
“The fact that you’re emailing me telling me she’s going to be there means that you’re trying to do something shady. And she’s an a*shole for that.” – Gizelle
In a green screen interview, Gizelle says she just broke up with Sherman so the feelings are very raw. She thinks Karen is just showing that she’s not a true friend to do this.
Charrisse arrives to the charity dinner with a handsome, young date named Rey.
In a green screen interview Charrise says that younger men are attracted to her. She’s still going through her divorce, but has decided to start dating again.
Monique is giddy when she sees Charrisse with Rey and insists on taking photos of them together.
Kyndall arrives and Charrisse says in a green screen interview that it was messy and tacky for Karen to invite her.
Ashley’s mouth drops when she is told Kyndall is Sherman’s ex wife.
Meanwhile, Robyn and Gizelle are on the way.
They are prepared to confront Karen when they get there.
“This is not an ambush. This is a message.” – Robyn
Robyn also says that she’s writing a check to the Alzeihmer’s Association instead of Karen’s for profit company so she can get a tax write off and know her money isn’t going to Karen’s “plastic surgery fund.”
After Candiace is also hipped about Kyndall, Monique points out that it was Karen who also said she wanted “no drama” at her charity event.
Karen comes around the ladies and says she sees nothing wrong with inviting Kyndall.
“This is clear proof that there’s no friendship there because if Karen actually cared about Gizelle, she wouldn’t bring Kyndall around to ruffle Gizelle’s feathers.” – Ashley
The episode ends as Gizelle and Robyn are walking into the event.
What are your thoughts on the episode?
Kyndall makes no sense. She and Gizelle are not friends. So why on earth would Gizelle need to call her and make sure she’s okay with her dating Sherman? This woman just wants to be on TV.
Kyndall is really like she speaks to me every time we are out in public! All I could do is shake my head and laugh. She’s really reaching to defend why she’s so bothered by Gizelle dating Sherman. Then she had the nerve to say Gizelle should have called her first. I doubt Gizelle even has her number. Kyndall is just being extra because she wants a main spot on RHOP. That’s obvious. I think someone else said she has a boyfriend and everything. She’s being dramatic because she wants a Bravo check like the others. Nothing more nothing less. LOL.
Karen is so messy.
I don’t know how to feel about Michael. I get that Ashley’s mom is a mess but he knew what it was before they got married. If her upbringing was an issue, he should not have married her. But I can admit he’s the only one who keeps it 100 with Ashley about her mother. So I have mixed feelings about him.
It was really messed up for them to bring the ex wife on this show. No one owes her anything. Being cordial doesn’t mean you’re friends.
Yeah having mutual friends doesn’t mean you are friends. I don’t understand how a grown a-s woman in her 40s/50s doesn’t understand that. And I don’t even like Gizelle. And Karen better chill out. She knows damn well she’d be mad as hell if Gizelle brought Blue Eyes on the show as payback. Don’t start something you can’t finish.
Kyndall is thirsty to be on this show and very delusional to think a woman she is not friends with owes her anything. I am not here for her and hope they don’t make her a regular.
I’m trying to understand why anyone needs to put wine in their purse to get a damn pedicure. How does Monique not see that she has a whole drinking problem?
