Fans of Nicki Minaj have been enjoying her press run for her latest album.
But she opened up the most during her recent interview with Funkmaster Flex of Hot 97.
She made it clear that she is done with Safaree Samuels because he made people believe he wrote her lyrics.
Here’s what she had to say when Flex brought it up:
The reason why you saw hm backtracking…because it was not, it was never the truth.
And with me, sometimes a person knows they can’t ever say anything to hurt me. They know that if they say that, then I will take it to heart.
Nicki also said that Safaree could not even rap when they first formed their rap group back in the day. She called up a former member of the group on the phone, and he too said Safaree could not rap and used to dig in the trash for rap verses.
But things got really explosive when Nicki made some really messy accusations regarding why she broke things off with Safaree:
Let me tell you something. It don’t give you a right to lie about someone’s craft just because they’re a woman and you know people will believe you. Now years later, you wanna come back and say, ‘Oh yeah, I lied.’ Years later after you’ve tarnished my image.
And then for one person to do something like this to me, out of sheer weakness and passive aggressiveness, and just hatefulness and vindictiveness because you got caught sh*tting on a person who was taking care of you for years and years because you got caught sh*tting on a person who was taking care of you while you were paying for pr*stitutes. Stealing their credit cards. And do all kinds of dumb a*s sh*t.

Flex confirmed that payola is real. He said media influencers and DJs are being paid to praise artists who are willing to pay.
They are also being compensated to tear down the competition for said artists.
On her song “Barbie Dreams,” she told the truth when she said Meek Mill is still in her DMs. When asked if they could ever get back together, Nicki blushed.
It took a long time for her to forgive him.
She confirmed that she and Nas did date. They are no longer together. He told her that Meek is still in love with her.
Safaree and his mother tried to talk Nicki out of pursuing her rap career. She told Safaree he could move to Atlanta with her when she only had $1000 to her name to support them. Nicki hustled and booked performances to pay rent while Safaree was jobless.
She feels like “Queen” is her best album to date.
