Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena’s split was very controversial.
“Love And Hip Hop Atlanta” stars Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels‘ messy divorce played out on and off of the show. It didn’t take long for things to become chaotic. In fact, Safaree even refused to sign divorce papers at one point. Despite the drama, he was hoping he could change Erica’s mind about ending the marriage. Regardless, Erica wanted out. And she accused Safaree of being unfaithful. Interestingly enough, things didn’t get any better when it came to their co-parenting relationship. Erica accused Safaree of being a lackluster father to their children. She also alleged that he spent more money on the women he entertains than his kids.
Months ago, Erica took to social media to blast Safaree. She was furious to see him gift Amara La Negra‘s daughters Rolex watches in an Instagram video. Erica alleged that Safaree does the bare minimum for their children. And it was infuriating to see him doing this for Amara’s children.
This led to people questioning if Safaree and Amara are dating.

Well, Amara addressed the situation recently during an interview with BET. When she was asked if she is dating Safaree, Amara said, “Safaree and I have always been friends. We went through our ups and downs at one point, but we’ve always been friends. And it was the people, the fans, that brought us together. Everybody kept saying that we were dating and should be together, then we were like, you know, why not? Let’s try. Let’s just date.”
She continued, “So we’re currently dating; we’re testing the waters. We’re not in a solid or exclusive relationship. We’re in the process of hanging out, getting to know each other, spending a lot of time with each other. But why not date a good friend?”
Amara also said that despite what people may think, she’s been celibate since ending things with her children’s father. And she just wants to take her time getting to know someone before becoming intimate.
These people will do anything for relevance and storylines. Pathetic.
Just say yall decided let ‘s create a relationship for the upcoming season of L&HHM
They can’t admit to a storyline because viewers won’t buy into their romance.
