‘Braxton Family Values’ Recap: Traci Refuses to Sit Down and Talk With Tamar and Toni

Toni shocks Towanda and Traci by changing her wedding date.

The episode opens in LA with Towanda and Trina cooking in Toni’s kitchen. They are at Toni’s to help her plan her wedding. Toni surprises them when she tells them she’s delayed planning because she and Birdman changed their date.

She’s considering September but it’s up in the air due to her schedule changes being on the road. She’s still working with celebrity wedding planner Cindy. Toni still wants Tamar to be involved with planning the wedding.

Towanda dodges questions about who she’s dating and going touring to the wedding. She tells her sisters she wants to meet their men, including Von. Trina gets blushed when they bring up that she’s in love with Von.

Traci’s manager wants Towanda to set up a sit-down between Traci, Toni and Tamar.

Meanwhile, Traci’s heading to her photoshoot. The photoshoot is for her second album. She was supposed to on tour with Toni and Tamar but those plans changed, so she’s just focused on the album photoshoot.

Towanda came by for support. When she asks about the tour, Traci dismisses her questions. Towanda then asks Traci’s manager Cliff about what happened with the tour. Cliff tells Towanda that Toni’s promoter wanted Tamar and Traci off the tour.

He also suggests Towanda bring all of the sisters together for a mediation. But despite that drama, Traci’s having fun with the photoshoot.

She calls herself a “new age grandma.”

Evelyn’s being honored and talked to Tamar, resolving their issues.

Trina and Traci take Evelyn out to lunch. Traci says she can finally relate to her mom being a grandmother.

“I got to be a grandma to understand.” – Evelyn

Traci and Trina are also excited for Evelyn being presented the Blue Diamond award at the Diva Awards. They are proud Evelyn’s being honored this way. But Evelyn’s humbled.

Afterwards, Evelyn said she talked to Tamar.

“I mostly listened.” – Evelyn

She tells her daughters they all need to come together to talk to Tamar.

Evelyn then brings up how the Archbishop pestered Traci to get her phone number. They hone school Even on how to properly wait a few days before calling, because he called on a Thursday.

Toni moved up the wedding date to this August.

Towanda stopped by Toni’s house. Toni thinks she’s thinking of a wedding date of 08/08/18. When Towanda brings up how Birdman wants to tattoo the date on his body, Toni says he’s on a tattoo punishment.

Towanda annoys her when she records Toni saying the date. Toni wanted Towanda and Tamar to work with Mindy to plan the wedding but Tamar’s schedule is apparently too hectic. Toni asked if Birdman’s gonna help, but Towanda said he’s not.

When Towanda asks what doesn’t he like, she says he doesn’t like wedding planning.

They play a flashback of Birdman saying he doesn’t want to head to any food tasting.

“Don’t make me bridezilla, it’s the bride.” – Toni

“Oh, you’re the bridezilla.”- Towanda

Toni goes on a date and Evelyn’s surprised by Towanda, Traci and Trina.

Evelyn’s escorted by her daughters Towanda, Traci and Trina at the D.I.V.A. Foundation Awards. She’s receiving the Blue Diamond Best Mom Award from the D.I.V.A Foundation. Cheryl Lee Ralph runs into her on the red carpet and thanks her for coming.

Meanwhile, Birdman and Toni are in New Orleans on a date. Once in the restaurant, he thanks Toni for coming out. Birdman tells her he rented out the whole restaurant.

Toni notes that the two of them are completely opposite.

As Evelyn’s honored with her award, she openly expresses regret that Tamar and Toni weren’t able to show up.

Towanda and Trina take over Cheryl’s presentation

“I would not replace her with anyone in the entire world.” – Trina

When Evelyn receives the award, she expresses great thanks to the organization and her children most importantly.

Traci doesn’t want to talk to Tamar or Toni.

Trina brings Towanda and Traci out to brunch. The conversation brings a surprise for her sisters; Kevin Jr and Oliviah moved out.

Towanda wants to bring up Traci’s tour situation. She tells Traci she wants her to sit down with Tamar and Toni to talk about what really happened with the tour.

Traci refuses to make that happen.

“You want to know what I think? I don’t give a damn… about anything that’s going on, because Traci’s going to do Traci, and I’m not harboring on nothing else…” – Traci

She goes on to say God’s been blessing her with opportunities like her album, and she’s focused on those blessings. There’s not a need to hash out anything with Tamar and Toni. She’s not going to spend any time worrying about what happened either.

”That’s what you need to do, that’s not what Traci needs to do. Traci said leave it alone because Traci ain’t doing it.” – Traci

Towanda brings up how her family sweeps things under the rug and don’t talk about things. Trina’s disappointed that Traci won’t be able to share the same stage with Tamar and Toni, finally able to get the same recognition as them.

Despite everything, Traci’s completely focused on her career and her growing family.

Afterwards, Trina wants the sisters to come together for a licensing agreement for a restaurant. But with Tamar not coming around and Toni being focused on her wedding, it may be hard for Trina to get everyone to come together for the restaurant.
