Ghost, Tasha and Tommy have lost total control of Tariq.
Tariq is in the bedroom watching local news coverage about Kanan’s death. It is confirmed that he took four police officers out before dying himself.
In the background, Tariq can hear Tommy, Ghost and Tasha arguing about what happened to Kanan. Tariq gets up to confront all of them.
Tommy and Ghost are both angry that Tasha did not follow their plan to frame Dre instead. Ghost says that Tasha put Tariq’s life in danger and that was wrong for her to do.
“What, one dead kid ain’t enough for you?” – Ghost
Tasha instantly slaps Ghost after he says this.
“F*ck you, Ghost!” – Tasha
“You deserve that sh*t.” – Tommy
After Ghost attempts to storm off, Tariq walks in and says that it was his idea and not Tasha’s. He knew that Kanan was not going to go back to prison, and he didn’t tell Tasha that Kanan wasn’t going to go down without a fight.
He knew exactly how things would play out.
Tariq also figured that if Kanan got himself killed, that it would then fix everything else.
Tommy says that isn’t the case and what Tariq did was stupid.
“You could have got yourself killed!” – Tommy
“But I didn’t and I’m still alive Uncle Tommy!” – Tariq
Upset with Tariq’s tone, Ghost tells Tariq to lower his voice while talking to Tommy and to be respectful.
“You know I was the only person that cared for Kanan. I just took a loss so you guys could win.” – Tariq
Tariq declares that he is the reason that Ghost, Tasha and Tommy won. Ghost then steps to Tariq and tells him to pack his things. Ghost wants Tariq back at Choate immediately. He is taking Tariq to the train station.
“I didn’t stutter.” – Ghost
“Neither did I.” – Tariq
Ghost looks on as Tariq heads back to his room.
Tasha then tells Ghost that Tariq’s disrespectful behavior is what she tried to warn Ghost about all along. She reminds Ghost that Tariq is his son. And his problem.
Tariq wants in.
On the way to the train station, Ghost tells Tariq that the whole purpose of him going away to Choate was to stay out of trouble and have a better life.
Four cops are dead and Ghost tells Tariq that’s on him. But Tariq says he doesn’t care about the dead cops because he’s had to deal with his broken family for a while now. He has no sympathy for the cops or their families.
When Ghost asks Tariq what he wants from him, Ghost gets an answer he wasn’t expecting.
“Teach me the motherf*cking game, Ghost.” – Tariq
“You listen to me. I would f*cking rather kill you than to let you into this life. So whatever gangsta moment you feeling, you make sure it’s the last one.” – Ghost
Annoyed with Ghost’s response, Tariq tells Ghost that he is who he is. Just like Ghost wearing a suit doesn’t change who he really is. He’s sure that Choate can’t change things.
Tariq then storms away towards the train.
Ghost looks conflicted about the conversation, then begins to walk away.
A few seconds later, Tariq reappears, and leaves the train station. He heads in a different direction from Ghost.
The feds feel they may have reached a dead-end.
Tameika, Saxe, Donovan, Mak and Blanca watch the local news coverage on Kanan’s death. The reporter says that investigators wonder if Kanan’s life of crime may be responsible for Shawn’s death.
Saxe says that it’s likely that Kanan is the one who killed Ray Ray and Tasha told the truth about her gun all along.
Blanca says it looks that way but it doesn’t feel right.
Mak says that Kanan did murder four cops when confronted with his guilt. Donovan says he feels like Kanan’s actions scream guilt.
Tameika then adds that there’s no logical reason why Angela would help Kanan. So Angela has no connection to any of this.
Frustrated, Blanca says that Tariq being in the car with Kanan at the time means Angela was connected.
But Tameika feels Blanca has nothing and it’s time for her to let it go. They have nothing on Angela, Tommy, Tasha or Ghost as of now. So Blanca reluctantly agrees to move on.
After Blanca leaves the office, Mak and Saxe tell Tameika that Angela must have had something to do with this. They mention that Proctor even said the Angela is dirty and involved.
“Does he have any proof? Do you?” – Tameika
She wants everyone to let it go and focus on other cases. Donovan agrees with this.
Ghost heads by Angela’s place to confront her.
He makes it clear to her that he is upset that she went behind his back to frame Kanan. He mentions that her actions put Tariq’s life in danger.
Plus four cops are dead. Ghost feels this is all on Angela.
Angela says that framing Dre was not the best choice. She tried to explain that to him but he doesn’t listen to anyone when he’s determined to do things his way.
With things going down the way they did, Ghost feels like he can’t trust Angela.
But Angela says she did what had to be done to keep all of them safe and out of prison. She also feels that Kanan’s death and their framing job now means that she and Ghost can have a fresh start together.
Ghost is still disappointed and leaves her apartment after telling her he will call her later.
Mak and Saxe pay Teresi another visit.
They drop by Teresi’s place to put more pressure on him to find some major dirt on Ghost and Tommy.
Teresi says he already did by giving them info on the security guard’s murder. But Saxe and Mak say that doesn’t help them at all since there is no video footage.
Saxe also reminds Teresi that he didn’t give them any info on Angela like they asked. Teresi says Tommy said there was a lawyer involved but never gave up a name.
Connie is getting worse and she’s now in a hospice.
But Mak and Saxe feel no sympathy for Teresi. In fact, they show him pictures taken of Teresi speaking to them. They threaten that they will send these photos to Vincent and the family if Teresi doesn’t give up major info on Tommy and Ghost.
The duo want to arrest Tommy by the end of the week. Teresi says he will get the info.
Keisha asks a question Tommy can’t answer.
Tommy is at Keisha’s place watching TV and eating takeout.
The local news is still talking about Kanan’s death. Keisha joins him on the couch after he turns off the TV. She questions where he was “this morning.” Tommy says he had to help Ghost and Tasha out with something.
She says she thought they were done with Ghost and Tasha. Tommy says he just had some unfinished business regarding Kanan. Keisha then mentions that police now have her on record saying Kanan was at the house and possibly took Tasha’s gun. She doesn’t even know Kanan and feels it was wrong to say what she did just to help Tasha.
“Tasha went too far with that. I ain’t built like that, lying to cops and sh*t.” – Keisha
Tommy says that may be true but she did what she had to do for the family. She stresses that she also did it for Tommy.
They hold hands and Tommy tells her that lying to the cops may happen again if she’s going to be with him.
But Keisha doesn’t want to do that again. She has a son to take care of and a business to run. Tommy tells her she shouldn’t do something she doesn’t want to do.
Keisha says that if Tommy asks her and he’s honest with her, it’s her choice to make. Tasha didn’t give her a choice and that’s the issue. They kiss and Keisha asks Tommy if he’s ever killed someone before.
He doesn’t answer and takes a sip of his of his water.
Alicia is done with Dre.
Dre meets up with Alicia. She is angry that Diego’s severed head was found in the freezer at one of the clubs Dre manages.
Now she figures people will link Diego’s murder back to her. This puts her life in danger. Dre says his enemies did this and Alicia says that Dre not having control over his enemies is a major problem.
In Dre’s opinion, Diego’s death looks like it was done by a rival. They can use that to make a chess move. Alicia then asks what all this means for Dre’s relationship with the Bassett Hotel Group. He confirms that things with the Bassett Hotel Group are on hold for now until things blow over. This upsets Alicia even more because she wants her drugs moving across the Atlantic.
Although Dre feels this is just a minor setback he can come back from, Alicia says that she is now putting Cristobal in charge. Dre has now been demoted.
Angela now wants to pursue Alicia, again.
At a meeting, Angela proposes that the Feds go after Alicia, again. Diego’s death makes Alicia vulnerable enough to arrest.
Diego’s death will lead to a cartel war, so the timing is perfect. They can now get Tampio to sign off on this now that the cartel is no longer stable
“We need to act now.” – Angela
Tameika agrees and tells Angela to see what she can find out.
After Angela leaves the room, Tameika tells Mak and Saxe that they will focus on the Jimenez until they get some real dirt on Angela.
Back at Tommy’s place, Joey tells Tommy, Teresi and Sammy that he and other drivers of Tommy’s drugs were searched at the prison gate.
He feels they were singled out.
Tommy asks if Joey has a snitch in his crew. Joey says that he doubts his crew has a snitch. Before leaving, Sammy tells Joey to cool off on things for now. They will be in touch with Joey soon.
Sammy is convinced that there is a snitch involved.
Teresi tells Sammy to relax and the prison probably toughened up on security after a guard was murdered.
But Sammy wonders if this is all happening because of Tommy, who he feels is a wild card. Tommy gets offended and Teresi tries to calm both men down. Teresi says that it doesn’t make sense for Tommy to snitch about his own product. Tommy leaves to get everyone some beers, and Sammy tells Teresi that something isn’t right.
Proctor agrees to do something he said he would never do.
He meets up with Saxe and Mak, again.
Saxe tells him that they want Proctor to wear a wire the next time he meets up with Ghost. Proctor immediately declines to doing this.
But Mak says it’s the only way to get proof that Angela is involved in Ghost’s crimes.
“Not gonna do it. That sounds like a you problem. Not mine.” – Proctor
Mak says that he wonders how a federal indictment would impact a custody hearing.
Proctor still says that wearing a wire on a client goes against everything he stands for. As he begins to walk away, Mak tells Proctor to think about it. Saxe then asks Proctor if he wants his addict ex to get custody of their daughter. So Proctor says he will only do this if he gets a proffer guaranteeing that all of this goes away no matter what Ghost says or doesn’t say.
Both Saxe and Mak agree to this.
They hand over the wire to Proctor.
Ghost meets back up with Tate at Truth.
The fundraiser goals for QCP were met. Ghost wants to be at the ribbon cutting ceremony. He gives demands on how he wants things to go.
But Tate says he wanted to push the ribbon cutting ceremony back until after he announces his candidacy for governor.
He assures Ghost that doing so means they will receive even more press. Ghost agrees to this and says he will be the one to cut the ribbon.
Angela gives Dre an out.
Now that it’s been confirmed that Diego’s head was found at the nightclub Dre works for, Angela decides to pay him a visit.
She tells him that she knows his life is in danger. So she will put him in witness protection if he agrees to give up Alicia.
Dre says that he knows about Angela’s affair with Ghost, so he can just let her bosses know the truth.
But Angela says that her romance with Ghost is no longer a secret, so Dre is in a worse off situation than she is, especially with him being a father.
Tommy has had enough of Ghost.
Back at Tommy’s drug warehouse, he explains to Teresi all the drugs he gets from the Serbs. Tommy says that he hooked up with the Serbs through Milan. But he and Ghost took out Milan. When Teresi asks when they will see Ghost again, Tommy says they won’t have to because Ghost has nothing to do with Tommy’s drug business.
Ghost then walks in at this point, irritating Tommy.
After says he wants to talk to Tommy alone, Teresi says he has to leave and see Sammy anyway.
He and Tommy talk, and Ghost asks if they are good now that Tommy knows that he had nothing to do with Kanan’s death.
Tommy said they are good and Ghost says that they need to still take out Dre. Tommy doesn’t feel this is a good idea right now because it’s hot since Diego’s head has been found.
He stresses to Ghost that he needs to be more focused on straightening Tariq out. Ghost says that Tariq is his son and not Tommy’s.
Realizing that this made Tommy feel some type of way, Ghost backs off. He questions why Tommy would bring Teresi to the place where his drugs are all stashed. He warns Tommy that getting so close to Teresi isn’t a good idea. Tommy tells Ghost to back off and it’s none of his business. He also tells Ghost that Teresi is getting his drugs into the Manhattan Correctional Center.
Ghost tells Tommy to keep his name out of his mouth once everything blows up in Tommy’s face.
“Be happy never to say your f*cking name, again.” – Tommy
As Ghost is walking off, he tells Tommy he heard what he said.
Sammy tries to convince Teresi that Tommy is the problem.
As Sammy and Teresi are eating some lunch together, he tells Teresi that he and Joey have some concerns about Tommy.
They think Tommy could be a snitch.
Teresi thinks this is absurd.
But Sammy says it’s odd how they have been running their scam for 20 years and never had a problem until now. Teresi says there is no reason that Tommy would hurt his own money.
With them knowing who the connect is, Sammy feels they don’t need Tommy anymore. So he urges Teresi to go ahead and turn Tommy over to the Feds.
“You’re a f*cking mind reader, you know that? That is exactly what I was thinking.” – Teresi
The plan according to Teresi, is to tell the Feds that Tommy called him and ordered that hit on Mike Sandoval.
“You know, I was starting to think you were getting soft on the kid. You’re a ruthless motherf*cker.” – Sammy
Both share a laugh.
Dre gets some intel from Cristobal.
As Dre is pouring Cristobal a glass of liquor, Cristobal asks if they are still on good terms, despite his promotion. Dre assures him that everything between them is fine.
In fact, Dre feels like Cristobal is his best temporary replacement.
Cristobal tells Dre that Alicia wants him to come by her place at the Ridgebury later that night. It seems to him that she wants to sleep with him.
They laugh and Cristobal and Dre dap each other up. Cristobal says he’s glad that he and Dre are still cool before leaving.
Dre looks intense realizing he has the info to give Angela.
Tariq pays Vincent another visit.
They discuss Kanan’s death and Tariq says that he wants Vincent to move the drugs Kanan gave him. He mentions that he moves pills easily at Choate, but what Kanan left him is out of his league.
Vincent isn’t so sure about this but Tariq says he wouldn’t be there if he had anywhere else to take the drugs.
Realizing that Tariq won’t back down, Vincent tells Tariq they will move the drugs on a trial basis to see how things go. Tariq agrees to this and asks Vincent if he knows where he can get a fake ID.
Angela finds out about Teresi.
As Angela is leaving her place, she runs into Dre. He tells her that Alicia and Cristobal are meeting at Alicia’s place later that night. She promises to put him in witness protection like they discussed.
He smirks as he walks off.
Cristobal and Alicia have a drink before they become intimate. As they lay on the bed and make out, Alicia’s cell phone rings. Cristobal urges her not to answer the phone, but she tells him she must.
After she answers and no one says anything, she realizes that the Feds are there to arrest her.
The Feds bust in and place handcuffs on Alicia and Cristobal. Angela taunts Alicia and Alicia tells Angela to go to h*ll in Spanish.
Back at the department, everyone cheers Angela for her work on arresting Alicia. Tameika is still short with her. Angela also notices that Mak and Saxe walked passed the room, deciding not to join in on the celebration.
Angela sneaks away and goes inside Saxe’s office. She sees the folders with photos of Teresi meeting with Mak and Saxe.
She picks up her phone and takes a picture of these photos.
Later on, Mak meets up with Angela in her office. She asks him who he and Saxe’s CI is. Mak says that the CI is Tony Teresi, Tommy’s father.
Teresi reaches the end with Sammy.
At his home, he gets a phone call from Saxe and Mak. They ask him if he has any valuable information about Ghost and Tommy. So he tells them he was the one who did the hit on Mike Sandoval from the inside. He says that Ghost was the one who ordered the hit and Tommy had nothing to do with it.
Sammy overhears this conversation. Teresi also lies and says that Tommy hasn’t been telling him anything important and he has nothing on him. Teresi says he can give Saxe and Mak Ghost on a stake.
They tell him to come in tomorrow to tell them everything.
After Teresi ends the call, Sammy immediately asks why he’s protecting Tommy. They start arguing and Tommy comes in asking what’s going on. Sammy begins to tell Tommy that Teresi is a rat but Teresi begins stabbing Sammy in the stomach before he can get it all out.
Moments later, Sammy dies from his injures. Teresi tells Tommy that Sammy is the snitch. Tommy agrees to help Teresi dispose of his body.
Later that night, Angela meets Ghost at Truth. She tells him that Teresi is snitching to Mak and Saxe. She also shows him the pictures.
This puts all of them in danger.
She urges Ghost to tell Tommy but Ghost says Tommy won’t believe him. Angela says to make it happen or all of them are going down.
So Ghost goes to Vincent and shows him the photos, confirming that Teresi is a snitch. Ghost wants Vincent to be the one to tell Tommy. Vincent agrees to do this, not knowing if Teresi may also snitch on the family.
Proctor gets his wire.
He meets with Saxe and Mak as they tell him that his only job is to get Ghost to admit that Angela has a major role in covering up his crimes.
They also want Ghost to admit that Angela is the one who told Ghost Sandoval’s location in prison. They hand Proctor the proffer he asked for. Proctor then heads over to Ghost at Truth.
Ghost notices that Proctor is very nervous and his leg is shaking. After Ghost says that he considers Proctor to be family, Proctor takes a napkin and writes down that he’s wearing a wire on it.
He then asks Ghost about Sandoval. He asks how Ghost knew where Sandoval was.
“Do you think Angela could have known?” – Proctor
Angry at this point, Ghost silently balls up the napkin and throws it at Proctor.
After Ghost regains his composure, he says Angela didn’t tell him because she was on the outs with the Feds at the time. Plus, Angela shot Mike, so the Feds would not give her Sandoval’s location.
“Well then, I guess we have no idea what happened to Mike Sandoval.” – Proctor
“No idea.” – Ghost
He then removes the wire. Ghost immediately snatches Proctor up and Proctor explains that the Feds are on them heavy. They are going to try to get Angela to turn against Ghost.
“You need to listen to me. They are going in hard. She needs to go.” – Proctor
Ghost thinks everything over.
“What are you going to tell them?” – Ghost
“I’m going to tell them that I didn’t get anything today. But the real question is, what is she telling them right now? Yeah, I’ve warned you before, haven’t I? About choosing yourself over her. You can’t have it both ways. Make the right decision. Choose yourself. Or you will be doing life.” – Proctor
Proctor then walks out of Truth.
Vincent tells Tommy about Teresi.
He immediately tells Tommy that Teresi is a snitch and has been talking to the Feds. Tommy refuses to believe this. So Vincent pulls out the photos of Teresi taking to Mak and Saxe.
Tommy is in disbelief.
He wants to know where Vincent got the photos. But Vincent refuses to give that information.
“We need you to take your father out.” – Teresi
At this moment, Tommy immediately loses it.
“You get the f*ck out of here! Do you even hear what you asking me to do?” – Tommy
“Yeah, I do. But I ain’t asking. This is an order from the family.” – Vincent
“F*ck that. That ain’t my family, that’s your family…he is my family.” – Tommy
In so many words, Vincent lets Tommy know he’s either going to prison because of Teresi or being killed.
Tariq uses his fake ID which reads Erick Stark to pick up Kanan’s ashes. He tells the man in charge that Kanan was his father.
Tommy does the one thing he didn’t want to do.
He picks Teresi up to take him to the hospice to see Connie. During the car ride, Tommy asks Teresi how he got released early from prison.
Teresi says that he got out because a dirty detective worked on his case and he was set up.
But Tommy says that doesn’t check out.
“Who you been talking to?” – Teresi
“The question is who you been talking to?” – Tommy
As Teresi tries to apologize for snitching, Tommy tells Teresi that the ring he wears around his neck belongs to the other person who betrayed him, who is no longer around.
They pull up to the hospice. Tommy tells Teresi that they will finish up their conversation when Teresi returns.
Teresi walks in Connie’s room to see her.
He tells her he loves her and marrying her is the only smart thing he ever did. Connie realizes that Tommy knows Teresi has been snitching.
“That kid would’ve stormed the gates of h*ll for you. You were just gonna sell him down the river?” – Connie
But Teresi says he’s not and he just told the Feds he would because he wanted to see her. Connie is relieved to hear this.
They kiss. Teresi tells her he will see her tomorrow. After walking out of her room, Teresi looks back at the exit sign above. He realizes that Tommy is about to end his life most likely.
As he walks back out to Tommy’s car, Tommy is disappointed to see that Teresi didn’t escape. He doesn’t want to kill his father.
Teresi enters the car and asks why Tommy took him to see Connie. Tommy says he did this for Connie. Teresi says that Tommy is the best son he could ever have.
Tommy tells Teresi that he is taking him to Teresi’s house. Teresi then begins to believe that Tommy is allowing him to run away instead of killing him.
When they arrive to Teresi’s home, Teresi packs up his bag and looks at a gun inside of it. He tells Tommy that he told the Feds he would drop a dime on Tommy but he couldn’t do it. He zips up the bag and tells Tommy he’s a good man. He couldn’t be prouder.
“A little too late, Dad.” – Tommy
Tommy then shoots Teresi multiple times, killing him. He then drops his body off at the Teresi gravesite.
He goes to his mother’s place and tells her he killed Teresi. He cries in her arms as they lay in her bed together. She tells him he did the right thing.
Angela was set up.
Back at work, Tamieka takes Angela to the room where Mak, Saxe, Donovan and Blanca are. She sees the crime poster board that has her face on it, along with Tommy, Ghost, Tasha and others.
Mak tells her he set her up by telling her that the CI was Teresi. With Teresi now being dead, they know she’s involved.
They are charging her with conspiracy. They want everything she has on Ghost and all his affiliates, or she’s going down with him.
She looks back at Blanca who just smirks.
