Kerissa brought her and Zora tickets for Hamilton. However, Zora can’t go because she’s on punishment still. Kerissa tries to get Jacob to put his foot down, but Jacob sides with Mae’s thought process.
James and Mae decide to get petty.
Later on, Mae learns from her secretary Karine and Maxine’s assistant Gloria that James moved his Silver Year Jubilee to the same day as her “Day with Lady Mae.” event. So Mae decides to move the event to the church. Mae also clashes with Grace when she learns about the church’s defense fund being called to action.
Mae doesn’t want anything outshining her final event in the church, which she’s trying to use to help push James out of the church. She lets Grace know she will do everything in her power not to be outshined in the press by the use of this defense fund.
Grace tells her the woman is facing the death penalty, but Mae doesn’t care.
James calls Percy but his call gets cut short when Mae walks into his office. She tries to persuade James into stopping Grace from using the defense fund but he disregards this for the moment, at least. James sits her down and explains how he can use cryptocurrency to pay their tax bill.

Back at Triumph, Kerissa and Jacob argue about Mae being strict. She brings up a good point; Zora’s 18 and isn’t bound by any law to stay where she is. However, Jacob stills stands behind Mae, which angers Kerissa.
Just before Grace meets with Coralee, she experiences flashbacks of her fight with Mac. She snaps out of it when Coralee heads to her table. Coralee begins by saying she doesn’t believe in God and remains aggressive with Grace.
She explains to Grace what happened and says she glad it happened. Coralee explains her husband threatened to physically abuse their children.
Charity managed to clean herself up to sing at the homegoing services at Percy’s funeral home. Meanwhile, Karine brings over documents of James to sign. He’s perplexed to see a line-item for security. This angers James because he learned that her and Maxine will having their event at the church.

Jacob leaves the church in a hissy. He stops at a stop sign desperately trying to wipe Tasha’s lipstick from his mouth. He stops when another car honks at him.
James crossed the line, draining their joint bank account.
Mae gets into a fit of anger when she checks her joint account with James, only to discover it’s been drained. She needed the cash to make a deposit for their caterer to work her event. She has Karine and Gloria leave her office when she discovers this.
Once he left the shower, Jacob tells Kerissa he changed his mind on Zora. He will head with her to Mae’s to bring her home.

“The Bible is all lies.” – Sophia
She’s adamant about moving on from God and her religion. James appeared ready to move on too when he showed up to Percy’s home with his belongings.
The next day, Kerissa and Jacob are getting their son ready to head over Mae’s to pick up Zora. Meanwhile, Mae asks Zora to take over Little Saints for Sophia, but she says no. Mae tries her best to convince Zora to do it, as Zora packs. However, Zora said no.
