R&B singer Monifah will be appearing on the upcoming episode of “Fix My Life.”
She and her daughter are hoping Iyanla Vanzant can help them develop a better relationship.
Apparently Monifah got pregnant with her daughter Akemi at just 19 years old. But her music career was taking off at the time. So she left Akemi behind to be raised by her mother.
As a result of this decision, Akemi was left hurt.
It’s the reason their relationship has been strained for years.
