Most celebrities are fully aware of how harsh folks can be on social media.
And Omari Hardwick has experienced it firsthand after fans went in on his wife’s looks years ago.
Perhaps it’s one of the reasons he’s so guarded when he meets fans in person.
One fan in particular accused the actor of being rude when she asked him for an autograph. She slammed him on social media and called into the Breakfast Club with complaints.
When Omari dropped by The Breakfast Club to promote “Nobody’s Fool” with Tika Sumpter, he clapped back.
He claimed that he declined giving the fan an autograph because he was spending time with his wife and kids.
Here’s what he had to say:
She sat there and looked at me and went, ‘Really?’ And I said, ‘really. I’m with my family. God bless you.’
Just acknowledge our family.
N*gga, this woman to my right has saved my life. You don’t really know the story. N*gga, I was broke as f*ck. Think about it. She saved my f*cking life. Chill the f*ck out. Just relax and then acknowledge her enough…it could be half of a look. ‘Hi.’ That’s all we need. ‘Hi.’ Cool.
Acknowledge she’s a breathing entity. Motherf*ckers is crazy.
Did Omari make some good points? Or did he overreact?
