Sky continues to make moves.
The gang discusses Jadah popping up and dumping paint on Teddy’s car.
Cease thinks Teddy should get a restraining order.
Not too long after, Cease gets a call from Sky. She’s coughing on the phone and she says she’s too sick to come in to the shop. Since she’s sick, she asks if Des can stay with Cease.
They get off the phone and Sky sneaks off back to Miami.
A realtor shows Sky a potential space for her boutique.
Sky sees the place and falls in love with it. It has the right aesthetics and it’s spacious.
After she learns she can move in immediately, she tells her realtor that she wants this space and they hug in excitement.
It’s time for Melody to focus on herself.
Melody gives the gang an update.
She tells them she and Lalo broke up. She then reveals that she broke down and shaved off all of her hair.
In a green screen interview, she says that she had some of Lalo’s dreads sown into her hair. So she wanted to get rid of all of her hair.
Until she can figure out what the next step is for her and her son, she’s going to move to Florida to move in with her mom. So that means she’s leaving Black Ink.
Cease gives her a hug and tells her he loves her. He wants her to know she can always come back to Black Ink.
“We love you, Mel. We gon miss you.” – Cease
Teddy continues to worry about his brother.
Tati and Teddy go sneaker shopping.
When they get to a sneaker store, he tells her his mind is on his younger brother Mike who has been locked up for homicide. He’s been locked up awaiting trial. He believes his brother is innocent and his brother doesn’t want to take a plea deal for 15 years.
But it’s not looking good for Mike.
Mike is 27 years old and has been locked up for 4 years.
Tati is glad Teddy opened up to her and they share a hug.
Bae’s mother has an interesting request.
Since Bae’s mother will be leaving to head back to Korea soon, she tells Rob and Bae that she wants to see them get married before she leaves.
“It makes sense.” – Rob
While Rob says they should tie the knot, Bae doesn’t want to jinx things.
“Can I have a couple of days to think about it?” – Bae
Cease finds out what Sky has been up to.
Back at the shop, Cease says that he can’t believe Melody is gone.
He feels she brings life to the shop but he understands she needs to focus on herself for a little while.
Not too long after, Bae pops up to the shop and speaks to everyone. Cease is too distracted by a social media video of Sky showing off her new boutique in Miami.
This angers Cease and he throws his phone at the wall.
Cease begins to rant and says Sky was wrong to lie to him.
“And who else knew about this sh*t?” – Cease
When everyone else says they had no idea she was doing this, Cease says he can’t believe Sky would play him after everything he’s done for her over the years.
Sky decided not to waste any time working on her shop.
The shop has been painted and Sky has been working with friends to decide which clothes should be sold.
She has a friend try on a few outfits and Sky says she made a mistake in posting about the shop on Instagram. So she quickly deleted the post, hopefully, before Cease could see it.
While she knows she has to come clean to Cease eventually, she’s not looking forward to it.
Cease gets an update from Teddy.
FatBoy SSE comes by the shop to get a tattoo by Cease.
Although Cease is still angry about Sky, he’s able to focus and get the tattoo done. But he’s planning on confronting her soon because he’s always been there for her when she needed someone.
“So now it’s Black Ink over family because apparently family don’t give a f*ck about me.” – Cease
After FatBoy leaves, Teddy tells Cease his younger brother took a plea and he will be in prison for 13 years.
With 19 other conspiracy charges, his brother Mike felt he had no choice although he didn’t kill anyone.
Teddy feels like he didn’t do his job as big brother.
In a green screen interview, Cease says he’s worried about Teddy’s mental health.
Donna’s twin sister Britney meets Alex.
Apparently they are fraternal twins. She explains this to Alex.
When her sister arrives, Britney hugs Alex and introduces herself.
Things get a little awkward after Britney asks Alex how much money he makes a week tattooing.
He tells her he makes enough.
Britney also questions why he’s still calling himself the V*gina Slayer. But he says he’s faithful to Donna and it’s just an old nickname.
After this, Britney asks if marriage is on the table, if Donna has met his son and if he pays child support. At this point, Donna just feels like Britney is being rude. But Britney tells Donna that Donna’s past decisions involving men have been awful and she’s the one who has to deal with the backlash. After the video of Donna and Alex getting it on in a restroom went viral, a lot of people confronted Britney about it.
So she doesn’t trust Donna’s judgment.
When Alex tries to take up for Donna, Britney goes off on him and tells him to stay in his place.
This leads to an argument between the sisters and Britney storms off.
Young Bae reflects with her mother.
Bae takes her mother sight-seeing in New York.
They discuss marriage and Bae tells her mother that she’s happy with things the way they are. So she does’t want to ruin things.
But her mother seems to think Bae fears marriage because she witnessed her mother being abused.
This brings both of them to tears.
In a green screen interview, Bae says she doesn’t blame her mother for her father’s actions. And Bae’s mother just wants her to not let the past hinder her from marriage.
There’s no resolution between Donna and Britney.
Donna has another conversation with Britney to understand what went wrong.
But her sister has no regrets about asking all the questions.
She explains that the first the she saw Alex and Donna together they were getting freaky in a public restroom. The whole situation embarrassed her.
After Britney tells Donna that she has bad taste in men, they start arguing again.
As the conversation goes nowhere, Donna tells Britney she can go back home to Cleveland.
Cease fires Sky.
Sky returns to the shop.
Cease immediately points out that she’s not sick anymore.
He also wastes no time in letting her know he knows she opened up her boutique in Miami.
But Sky says she tried to tell him but he wasn’t supportive. He didn’t even believe she was capable.
At this point, Sky says she’s been helping him with his dreams but she has dreams she has to follow too. Sky refuses to let Cease run her life.
Some curse words are exchanged, and Cease then tells Sky she’s fired. Sky is fine with this and storms out the shop.
