Dr. Britten is an anesthesiologist.

Asha and Dr. Noelle have been close friends since they were little.

They discuss how heartfelt Asha’s speech was at the recent party.
Asha is hoping that she can physically have a baby. Her age makes her less confident about being able to have a healthy pregnancy. But Noelle believes everything will work out.
Dr. Imani is a psychiatrist.
She goes to a restaurant with her husband Phil and son Idris.
They met at a party ten years ago.
Her husband used to be in a singing group called Portrait. She was a huge fan back in the day.
Phil came in her life when her son was very young. He’s been a dad to him since.
When it comes to her own father, Noelle told Imani that she should reach out to her biological father. He was a drug addict and she hasn’t seen him since she was 11 years old.
Shanique feels she isn’t a typical doctor’s wife.
She manages over 400 residential homes as a property manager. Plus, she’s a “Jamaican Martha Stewart” at home.
Her husband Robert is an Urgent Care doctor.
In a green screen interview, she says she’s happy to have an old school marriage. She loves taking care of her man.
They started dating after Robert became her tutor in college.

While she would love for her family to go ahead and relocate to LA, she’s still enjoying her job.
Shanique and Jazmine have a lot in common as doctor’s wives.
Since Shanique’s husband Robert is obsessed with gummy bears, Jazmin has encouraged her to have a photoshoot in a tub of gummy bears.
Jazmine herself is married to a psychiatrist. They just had a baby. She’s a full-time wife and mommy.
When it comes to having children, Asha and Larry aren’t on the same page.
Asha’s husband Dr. Larry’s favorite time of the day is bedtime.
He works a lot as a Physiatrist and is a homebody.
The couple discusses having a baby. Asha is 39, so she’s nervous about this.
But Larry wants to make sure their finances are straight before they do that.
In a green screen interview, Asha says she really just thinks Larry is afraid to have a kid.
It’s Robert’s birthday.
Shanique is helping to make sure that everything is set up for his party at the house.
Asha calls Shanique and tells her that her husband Larry won’t be able to come with her. So she invited Dr. Heavenly since Heavenly will be in town.
Before the party starts, Shanique tells Robert she has some surprises for him. He hopes it’s a cupcake with a filling of gummy bears.
Dr. Heavenly is en route to the party with Imani and Asha.
Imani feels like she and Heavenly both have the same tell it like it is personality. And Heavenly says she likes all the women in the LA group.
Guests start arriving.
Britten and her husband Mack make small talk with Shanique and Robert.
Shanique wonders how Britten and Mack are able to live in two different states. But the couple hopes that can change very soon.
Dr. Heavenly and the others arrive and greet everyone.
When all the guests get settled, Shanique has Robert open his first surprise: the gummy bear photo shoot she did.
Asha sees red.
Not too long after, Shanique reveals that Robert invited Asha’s husband Larry’s ex girlfriend Dr. Aneesah. Noelle tells Shanique this was a messy thing to do.
After Asha approaches the group, Shanique informs her that Aneesah is there. Asha is not happy to hear this.
“Oh, you invited her. You told me you weren’t friends with her.” – Asha
Shanique says that Aneesah is Robert’s friend and he can invite who he wants.
Jazmine doesn’t see the big deal. Apparently Shaniqua doesn’t either. So she makes that clear to Asha,
“You are insecure and that’s why you’re behaving like that.” – Shanique
Seeing that things are get intense, Imani pulls both women to the side to calm them down. She tells them they should hash this out later.
Dr. Aneesah comes by and meets Heavenly and the other women.
Apparently she’s an Internal Medicine doctor.
In a green screen interview, Heavenly says she understands why Asha is bothered. Aneesah is very pretty and very successful. She’s also single.
Aneesah says she doesn’t have any romantic feelings for Larry. So Heavenly gets Asha so they can talk.
Asha makes it clear to Heavenly that she has no problems with Aneesah, just Shanique. But it’s something they will have to discuss at another time.
