Toni heads to Atlanta for an interview with Trina.
The episode begins with Toni in Atlanta at the “Sister Circle” studio for an interview. Trina’s excited to interview Toni and it’s a well-timed distraction for her as she deals with Gabe’s cancer diagnosis.
The interview goes well even when Trina asks about the engagement ring. She explains how her train case on her flight disappeared. Toni’s also frustrated with the wild stories and speculation she’s been reading about it on social media.
After the interview, Toni’s ready to spend time with Trina to console her.
Tamar’s at home and has an idea on who she wants to open up for her at her shows in DC and New York. So, she calls Traci to see if she wants to do it. This is a tour that Tamar has control over and she feels it’s important to support her sister. Tamar says she knows how it feels to be an underdog.
Traci graciously agrees to do it despite having mixed emotions.
Toni spills her own tea.
Trina and Toni are out and talking about Gabe and her current relationship with Von. Von has been really supportive of Trina and she’s really thankful for that. In fact, she would agree to marry him if he wants to propose.
However, Trina tells Toni that Von is really taking his time especially with Gabe’s situation.
Things get interesting when Toni speaks about her relationship. When she says they probably should’ve eloped, Trina asks why.
“Because, we would probably still be together.” Toni
Trina’s jaw drops. Toni isn’t ready to go into full detail and Trina isn’t going to push the issue.
Tamar learns of a new opportunity.
Meanwhile, LeTroy and Tamar are out and about after being up for “42 hours.” They’ve been getting ready for her show and having Traci opening. Tamar has her back and wants her to know she has her back.
Her agent Nick joins them with news about doing “Celebrity Big Brother.” Tamar says it’s her favorite show. She says yes, as a result.
Back in Atlanta, Towanda shows up to Trina’s place to check on her. Trina’s still dealing with Gabe’s diagnosis and is really worried. He’s in Texas and he asked Trina to come down when he gets out of treatment.
Of course, Towanda’s relationship comes up. Trina insulates Towanda and her boyfriend may be engaged or married but she remains mum.
Tamar doesn’t want Cliff around.
Cliff, Traci’s manager, meets up with Nick and the show’s executive producer as they debate about the controversy last season. He’s not allowed into the rehearsals thanks to Tamar. Traci’s surprised. Cliff leaves before things escalate and Traci moves on into rehearsals. Tamar shows up and doubles down on not liking Cliff telling Traci that Tamar didn’t want her to open on the tour.
Inside, the two hug it out. Traci’s grandson Kevin is there and Tamar’s happy to see him.
In Los Angeles, Towanda hangs with Evelyn and she introduces Evelyn to Sean. While with Sean and Towanda, Evelyn notices a ring on Towanda’s left hand. She asks if it’s an engagement ring.
“Not yet.” – Sean
He explains that they are taking their time and he bought the ring for her because Towanda likes it. Towanda believes Evelyn approves, which is really good.
Tamar’s first tour stop in NYC rubs Traci the wrong way.
Tamar and Traci head to New York City for the tour and Tamar’s going off on Nick. Their bus took everyone to the hotel instead of the venue. That’s going to put everyone behind schedule and there won’t be a soundcheck.
“Everybody better get their running shoes…” – Tamar
So they hop off the bus to walk to the venue. Traci does her best to remain calm. When they get to the venue, they all rush into the back and Traci doesn’t have the best dressing room. In fact, it’s a hallway connected to a stairway. They move her to a closet with a little more privacy and her husband Kevin Sr. is frustrated.
Cliff isn’t there and she knows he won’t be happy about this.
Despite the disorganization, Traci gets to the stage dolled up and she is a hit with the fans. She’s relived everything went well. Afterwards, Tamar hits the stage as the headliner.
During the performance, Tamar brings Traci back out and they perform together.
Cliff and LeTroy clash which results in Cliff calling LeTroy a vulgar slur.
A few days after the performance, Kevin Sr. and Traci are out to eat and talk about the show and rehearsal. She says she passed a test in patience.
The episode ends with Tamar, Traci and their family backstage at their show in DC. Cliff shows up too. Things get tense when LeTroy sees Cliff. He tells Tamar and her manager Nick about this. Nick tells LeTroy Cliff can’t be backstage.
As Traci hits the stage, things escalate between Cliff and LeTroy. There’s security between them but that doesn’t stop Cliff from getting very vulgar and disrespectful.
“You f***** motherf****er!” – Cliff
As LeTroy’s yelling, he’s heading back into Tamar’s dressing room and Tamar calms him down.
She keeps it together to deliver a hot performance but Traci leaves as a result.
“Is Traci in the building?” – Tamar
