Gabe passes away and Trina’s supported by her family.
The episode begins on a sad note. Gabe let Trina know that his diagnosis of stage four kidney cancer took a turn for the worse.
She’s meeting with Evelyn to tell her what happened.
She’s in tears as she tells Evelyn that he passed away due to the cancer. Trina made it to Gabe’s funeral with Von by her side.
Von was there for Trina and both of her sons, telling them to look after their mom. Through it all, Trina says Von’s been there for her yet gives her the appropriate space to grieve.
Evelyn tells Trina that, “This too shall pass.” She also prays over Trina and her family.
Tamar and Traci recap what happened in DC.
In Los Angeles, Tamar’s getting ready for her time on “Celebrity Big Brother.” She’s also getting over a cold when Toni stops by to talk about Trina. Both of them are sad about Gabe passing and are grieving for Trina. Toni wants to get everyone back together in LA in light of everything that happened.
Of course, Tamar lays out all of the drama that occurred during her shows in DC and New York. Tamar’s confused about the altercation between Traci’s manager Cliff and LeTroy specifically.
Toni gives her advice about how to deal with the backlash. As a headliner, Tamar’s going to experience people complaining about their set ups backstage and whatnot. She also says something about family.
“Sometimes, family can’t work together.” – Toni
During her treatment, Tamar falls asleep so Toni raids the pantry and fridge before she leaves.
Next, it’s time for Traci to tell her side of the story about what happened to Towanda. Specifically, she didn’t like how the people around Tamar treated her team, specifically Cliff.
In fact, Traci feels LeTroy and other around Tamar are nothing but hangers-on causing trouble.
Von checks in on Evelyn.
Evelyn’s on her way to lunch with her daughters to talk about how they can assist Trina in her time of need when Von calls her. She knows Gabe’s passing could affect Trina’s relationship with Von.
Von asks how Trina is holding up and she says she’s doing pretty well. Evelyn appreciates hearing from Von and thanks him for looking after and being there for Trina.
Eventually, Evelyn makes it to the lunch and Trina’s the only one not present.
Toni reveals her engagement is over.
They all talk about things they can do for Trina. But first, Tamar brings up her opportunity with “Celebrity Big Brother.” As a result, she asks her family to take care of Logan while she’s in London for the show.
Towanda’s excited and predicts Tamar’s going to make it to the final three.
All of them get blindsided when she reveals she’s leaving in four days and she could be gone for up to 30 days.
Things turn interesting when Toni reveals to everyone that she’s not engaged to Birdman anymore. Tamar and Towanda grill Toni but Toni’s not ready to talk about it.
“A little trouble in paradise. Just because you’re on a beach doesn’t mean you’re good.” – Toni
Towanda suspects Traci hasn’t been around much because of the tour drama so she takes her to an adult pleasure store to loosen her up. While in the store, they play with the toys. While in the store though, they are sent a blog post about Toni’s broken engagement.
Tamar blindsides Evelyn and Towanda.
It’s almost time for Tamar to leave for “Celebrity Big Brother,” so she has Evelyn and Towanda come over to talk about the details of taking care of Logan. Tamar presents them an itinerary. This still surprises Evelyn as she’s still supposed to travel with Toni to South Carolina. She tells Tamar that she’s not going to boss her around and change her plans.
“I know how to take care of my grand baby. I am going to do what I do.” – Evelyn
At this point, Tamar reveals she’s extremely nervous to be away from Logan from so long. She’s also going to be nervous to be away from her boyfriend David.
Tamar and Traci put their beef aside to support Trina.
Finally, Trina and Traci meet up with Evelyn and their sisters. Traci doesn’t know what to expect since she nor Tamar has spoken since what happened during Tamars’ shows.
Tamar breaks the silence and keeps it positive. Traci’s glad because she wants to focus on supporting Trina and being happy with her sisters again. This is good as Trina expresses she tried to call Gabe’s phone, knowing he could not pick up.
They all allow Trina to reminisce over all of the good times she had with Gabe.
