The Braxtons are currently grieving the death of another loved one.
It has been reported that Tamar’s 24 year old niece Lauren died from complications from a heart condition.
Lauren was Michael Braxton Jr.’s daughter.
Not too long after the news went viral, Tamar hopped on Instagram Live to thank her followers for the condolences and prayers.
She also said that she felt drained and didn’t want to go to the funeral:
You know, I don’t want my sisters or my family to get upset with me but…the things that’s been going on…this is like the first time anybody from my family has passed.
And let me tell y’all something, if you ain’t never experienced, get on your knees and praise God because…nobody tell you about going to the d*mn funeral.
I don’t have time, going to the funeral.
I’m still drained from that.
Tamar’s comments didn’t sit well with a lot of people.
After receiving lots of backlash from social media and the blogs, Tamar decided to defend herself on Twitter.
