Cease and the gang check out the new shop.
The Brooklyn shop is officially open. So the gang walks in and they are all in awe at how it looks on the inside. In a green screen interview, Kitty says she’s very proud of how far Ceaser has come along. The block party has been extended to 9 pm so everyone is ready to have a good time. But Cease wants to keep things “politically correct.” He doesn’t want to burn bridges with any of the city officials.
After Cease says his family will be there, Puma jokingly asks if “Kitana” from Mortal Kombat is coming as well. He’s referring to Cease’s baby momma Crystal. She’s been wearing a mask since she’s had her jaw surgery. Cease confirms Crystal is coming.
Krystal is brought up as well. Puma says she can attend the party but it doesn’t mean she is getting her job back.
Tati has a new boo.
While Tati and Bae go out to get coffee, Bae notices Tati is in a great mood to still be dealing with legal problems. Tati admits she’s been sleeping with someone and she’s very satisfied. Jemz is the guy she’s been messing with. He works at the 125th shop and occasionally fills in at the 113th shop.
Bae promises not to tell anyone who Tati is creeping with.
Alex and Donna make progress.
Donna and Alex talk things out. Things haven’t been the best between them since the marriage argument. So Donna apologizes for putting pressure on him. She doesn’t want to lose what they have. Alex tells her that he does want to marry her. But he has to get things right financially first. And they aren’t going to do anything “half a*s.”
Crystal may still have feelings for Cease.
Q helps Crystal find an outfit for the party. So she tries on multiple outfits as Cheyenne watches. Crystal is feeling confident and she wants to look good for Cease. She feels like Cease has really stepped up for her and Cheyenne lately. In a green screen interview, Q says he’s starting to think Crystal is open to getting back together with Cease.
Tati decides to spend some quality time with Jemz at a bowling alley before the grand opening party. They do a lot of flirting and kissing. And Tati tells Jemz that she wants them to continue to keep things on the low. She doesn’t want people in their business. Jemz feels like Tati is really just embarrassed by him. This leads to an argument.
Tati tells Jemz she really likes him and she just wants to protect their relationship. While she’s saying this, Teddy calls and Jemz notices. Feeling like Tati isn’t being transparent, Jemz walks away.
Crystal is nervous.
The party begins. Cease gets on the mic and thanks all the people who helped him get there. That includes Puma, Teddy, and Kitty. He gets a little emotional as he discusses Corey.
When Crystal pulls up wearing a fancy mask, Q comes out to the car. She tells Q she’s afraid to come in. Crystal admits that she thinks her feelings for Cease have resurfaced. She needs a few minutes to get her nerves in check.
Alex arrives at the party and talks to Cease. They are still on good terms and Cease tells Alex there’s still a place for him at the shop.
Kitty becomes a target for Crystal.
Crystal finally walks into the shop. She removes her mask and almost everyone is impressed by the work. Cease says she looks good but he’s uncomfortable by how she was looking at him. Later on, Crystal tells Q that Cease and Teddy didn’t seem to care much about her new look. This hurts her since they have known her the longest. And she feels like Kitty is blocking things from moving forward romantically with Cease. She doesn’t trust Kitty and Kitty comes off as the type that sleeps her way to the top. But Crystal is not having it and she will shut Kitty down to protect her family.
Meanwhile, at the party, Tati tells Bae about her blowup with Jemz. Bae feels like Tati should call Jemz and tell him to come. There’s no need for Tati to keep hiding him.
Kitty doesn’t want to deal with Crystal.
Later on, Bae and Kitty catch up at the party. Q told Bae what Crystal said about Kitty so she relays the information back to Kitty. Kitty says Crystal is just mad that Cease wants her and all Crystal will ever be is just Cease’s baby momma. After Bae says Kitty should just talk to Crystal, Kitty isn’t interested. She believes Crystal is insecure and she’s not entertaining it.
Jemz and Tati talk outside away from the party. Tati apologizes for making Jemz feel like she was trying to hide him. Jemz accepts her apology and they agree to not hide their relationship anymore.
Kitty walks away.
Crystal can sense the tension with Kitty. So she goes over to her to ask what the issue is. Kitty says she’s going to the restroom and walks out of the shop instead. In a green screen interview, Kitty says Crystal still has a “Pomeranian face” regardless of the surgery.
Crystal chases behind Kitty and taunts her for walking away. She continues to follow Kitty who refuses to talk until Kitty gets in a car to leave.
