Jackie moves forward with renovations.
Quad has a book signing for her new cookbook. Heavenly, Buffie, and Contessa show up to support. In a green screen interview, Heavenly says that she’s happy for Quad’s success because she’s had a lot of failures. Quad tells the women she’s having an all-white birthday and book launch party.
Jackie and Curtis are moving forward with their home renovations. They meet with two designers to talk about the plan. It will cost about $300,000 to renovate the kitchen, closet and add on a third garage. Curtis feels like this is expensive. But he backs off after Jackie says that renovating the house makes up for her not having kids.
Scott and Contessa still have tension.
Contessa and her family go out to eat. Her father is in town and meets them there. Things get awkward after Contessa tells her dad she left graduate school. She asks her dad if he could watch the kids so she can go back to school. Neither Scott nor her father seems okay with this.
Miles has decided to transfer from Howard. Simone and Cecil aren’t sure he understands how serious this is. In a green screen interview, Simone says that Miles has always been spoiled. So they tell him he has to get better grades to transfer to a better school. And he needs to be more independent and do things like wash his own clothes.
Contessa and her dad go to Heavenly’s office. After years of drug abuse, Contessa’s father gets new teeth.
Lake throws some jabs at Quad.
It’s the day of Quad’s all-white birthday party. Toya is getting ready in her new two-story closet. She tells Eugene she feels shady for going when she knows Mariah wasn’t invited. But Eugene tells her she’s doing the right thing by showing support to all the women.
Mariah, Aydin and their loved ones go out to eat to celebrate Ramadan. They discuss the drug accusations. Lake says that Mariah has been too nice to Quad and she’s “always been a hoe.” As for Mariah, she wonders just who all is going to Quad’s event. She feels like the other women should have shown her more support amid the accusations.
Simone and Toya leave.
The rest of the women show up to Quad’s party. She gives a speech and says she almost gave up on having friendships with women last year and thanks her Sister Circle cast for their support. Toya and Simone take this as shade and leave with Eugene. After they leave, Quad then thanks the women of Married to Medicine for their support. In a green screen interview Quad says Toya and Simone were just jealous that Sister Circle was thanked first. Her new $92,000 car is then delivered to the party.
