Phor gives an update.
After her major blowup with Ryan, Charmaine has another conversation with Fly Tatted, Prince, and Plug. Fly says that he doesn’t want to leave 2nd City Ink. And he hates that he caused drama between Ryan and Charmaine.
For Charmaine, the blowup with Ryan was a breaking point. But she’s moving on and focusing on her upcoming maternity shoot which was inspired by Beyonce.
Phor gives Don and Ryan an update about his paternity situation. The young lady who could be his daughter is like 17 years old. While he doesn’t remember sleeping with her mother, he’s agreed to meet her and discuss everything. If Phor is the father, he wants to be in his daughter’s life.
Bella returns.
Not too long after they wrap up the conversation, Bella walks into the shop. She asks to speak to Ryan privately.
Bella says she’s been struggling to find a job since she was fired. And she’s not sure how she can take care of her daughter.
Ryan apologizes for how Bella was fired. But he tells her there isn’t anything he can do to help her.
A paternity test is in Phor’s future.
Phor meets Nashauna, the woman who claims they have a child together. She tells him they hung out with his friend Jeremy years ago and slept together in a closet. Phor doesn’t remember any of this. When she says that her daughter Iyanah is there for him to meet, he agrees to see her.
Iyanah sits with them and tells him that she’s a junior in high school. She wants to be a lawyer when she grows up. Phor says they will stay in touch and he plans to take a paternity test.
In a green screen interview, Phor says he wishes he didn’t meet Iyanah until things were official. Meeting her before taking a paternity test made him uncomfortable.
Charmaine and Neek take maternity photos.
It’s the day of Charmaine’s maternity shoot. She has it at 2nd City Ink and she’s almost 20 weeks into her pregnancy. Neek and Charmaine record some of the shoot on their phones so Charmaine’s mother Glenda can see it.
Glenda is rushed to the hospital.
Sometime after the shoot, Charmaine gets a call from her father while she’s getting dressed to go to 2nd City Ink. Her father tells her that her mother was rushed to the hospital.
Charmaine is devastated as her father says that the doctors are trying to save Glenda. After she hangs up with her dad, she calls Neek and frantically tells him Glenda’s heart just stopped. She cries and tells him he may need to meet her in Louisiana.
Back at 2nd City Ink, the gang wonders where Charmaine is. It’s not like her to not answer calls and texts.
Glenda passes away.
Charmaine can’t get in touch with her dad and she’s stressing out. Neek tells her to have faith as he is out of town for a conference.
She finally gets in touch with her dad and he tells her Glenda didn’t make it. Charmaine is devastated. The producers try to console her.
Don, Phor, and Ryan come to Charmaine.
Ryan comes by Charmaine’s place to be there for her. They immediately hug as she weeps. In a green screen interview, Ryan says he was with Don and Phor when he got the news. He always had a great connection to Glenda so he had to be there for Charmaine.
Glenda was getting ready to undergo dialysis and had a heart attack.
Don and Phor show up outside but Charmaine says she doesn’t want to see them yet. The brothers understand this and say the timing is off. But they will be there for Charmaine when she’s ready for them to be.
Ryan says that Glenda reached out to him recently on Instagram about fixing his friendship with Charmaine. She’s always been the one to bring them back together when they clashed.
Ryan updates 2nd City Ink.
Later, Ryan goes to 2nd City Ink to give them an update. He tells them Glenda passed away. They are all devastated and worried for Charmaine.
Danielle and her mother arrive to Charmaine’s place. They are all just in shock and devastated. Charmaine thought she had a couple more years with her mom and she would be there after she had the baby. This was something they wanted to experience together.
Neek’s mother calls Charmaine crying. She says Neek called her and broke down on the phone. Charmaine says that they are going to get her on a flight soon.
The next day Charmaine and Neek prepare to go to Louisiana. She’s ready to check in on her dad because they were married for 30 plus years.
Charmaine wants to make sure their baby still gets to know Glenda. And she wants to make sure her funeral is perfect.
