Pepa’s sister isn’t here for Sam.
The mid-season premiere begins with Boogie meeting up with Egypt and Sam at the nail salon. Boogie tells them about what happened with him, Ava and their dad Dame. Afterward, Egypt and Sam recap what happened at their engagement party with Briana. They also explain what “Trepa” means to Boogie.
Meanwhile, Tee Tee’s still in Jamaica, still hanging out with her mom Maureen, Pepa’s sister. Maureen’s shocked to hear about Sam believing Tee Tee’s in love with him. But back in LA, Egypt tells Boogie a story of how Tee Tee allegedly walked around Sam naked. This made Egypt some type of way and helped her believe Sam’s claim.
Maureen believes that Sam is using Egypt to break up their family and take advantage of her.
Bow Wow spends time with Angela’s family.
Next, Rev Run’s with Angela, and they are heading to a day of bowling with the family. Bow Wow is also planning on hanging out with the Simmons clan. At the bowling alley, everyone is doing good including newlyweds JoJo and Tanice.
Bow Wow shows up later and Vanessa wonders if Angela would give Bow Wow another chance.
Maureen calls for Egypt.
Back in Jamaica, Maureen calls her sister Pepa, who’s dealing with on-going leg pain from a car accident. Maureen’s not happy about what Tee Tee told her about Sam and Egypt and is ready to go off about it. However, Tee Tee has big news to share with people she trusts and it’s bigger than what’s going on between her and Sam.
Pepa’s frustrated with Tee Tee telling her mom about what’s been happening. However, Maureen wants this fixed, no matter what.
Meanwhile, Sam’s with his dad Nathan on a music video shoot for his song. The concept of the video is his funeral and Egypt’s the leading lady. Eric and Aaliyah stop by and of course, Briana’s name comes up. Next, Pepa calls Egypt to tell her Maureen’s requesting her presence in Jamaica. Egypt asks if Sam can come but is told no. Egypt’s concerned because Maureen doesn’t take any mess.
Dame’s in NY to clear his name.
Later on, Treach and Tyran meet up with Dame Dash in NY at a tattoo shop. He’s taking a break from handing his legal matters in the city. Treach tells Dame about everything that happened at the engagement party, with some not-so-good things to say about Briana. Dame tells him about his issues with Ava and Boogie. He’s frustrated with how Boogie betrayed him, calling him Fredo, a character from “The Godfather.”
They then reminisce about how they had to struggle growing up and how their kids didn’t have to go through that.
Egypt’s angry about her aunt’s request.
Back in LA, Egypt stops by Pepa’s hotel room. Pepa tells her about her conversation with Maureen and how Maureen wants Egypt to head to Jamaica. Egypt doesn’t want to go to Jamaica and defend her relationship with Sam to anyone. Pepa tells her to speak from her heart and stand up for herself. But Egypt leaves angry, unsure if she’s even going to go.
Later on, Dame’s with his attorneys and planning on how to address the warrants. His attorneys tell Dame that going to jail could be a possibility.
Briana and Lil Twist meet up at a paint supply store where Briana’s buying supplies. Here, Twist flirts with a worker at the shop but she’s more interested in Briana. Next, Twist creates a drawing of Sam as a clown. Briana sees this and chuckles. She also wants to still have that conversation with Egypt about Sam.
Meanwhile, Angela links up with Bow Wow at his rental. When she walks in, Bow Wow lays it on thick with the flirting. But Angela’s more interested in talking business. Bow Wow’s going on tour and she wants to help him with his tour merchandise. She feels there won’t be an issue working with him. Bow Wow agrees and feels she’s the perfect one to help him out.
Boogie and Dame clash, again.
Finally, it’s the day Dame Dash turns himself in. That morning before, he’s talking about everything with Rocky, who’s worried. Things get really intense when they get a knock on the door. But to their relief, it’s Boogie. Despite things getting out of hand the last time they got together, Boogie showed up to NY to support. Things get a bit tense when Dame requests to Boogie to stop contradicting him. An argument ensues after Boogie disagrees and Dame kicks Boogie out of the house. Dame calls him a selfish b****rd when he leaves.
In Jamaica, Egypt feels ambushed.
Egypt decided to head to Jamaica and Maureen picks her up from the airport. Maureen tells her everything she’s heard from Tee Tee and Egypt tells her about Tee Tee supposedly walking around Sam with no clothes on. Maureen tells Egypt that she doesn’t buy the story at all and this frustrates Egypt. And Egypt doesn’t like it when Maureen calls her insecure. When she learns Tyran is also there for the sit-down, Egypt feels like she’s about to get ganged up on.
