Red encourages Tommi.
Red and Tommi work out and discuss the housewarming party. Both agree Toya’s mother Nita was a bit much seeing as she came in drunk because Toya’s father Walter was there.
They also discuss therapy and Tommi’s marriage.
Red urges Tommi to keep going to therapy and keep bettering himself even though he’s frustrated.
Tiny and King sneak off to Chattanooga.
TI’s brand and crisis specialist Nikki comes to talk to him while he’s working out. He wants to work with David Banner to get out the message about Sex Trafficking.
King and Tiny are heading to Chattanooga. They want to see if King has a big enough following to have a show there so they can win his wager against TI. In a green screen interview, Tiny says that TI doesn’t know she’s helping King. But what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him. He’s gotta win this bet.
When TI calls, she lies and says they are on the way to see a movie.
Tommi hears LeToya out.
LeToya and Tommi go to another counseling session. He talks about how cold he was towards LeToya at the airport recently. LeToya tells Tommi that he said things that were very hurtful and doing so made her feel abandoned. And he never gave her a reason why.
She breaks down crying while talking about how much Tommi helped her when she was stressed while putting out a past album.
Tommi says that he doesn’t want to fight with LeToya anymore because they are supposed to be a team.
Toya needs to talk to Nita.
Toya, Red, and Reginae talk about their upcoming kickball game to raise funds for cancer. They also discuss Monica and how she’s taking some time to care for her son Rocko after he had a seizure.
When the housewarming party is discussed, Toya says that she did talk to Nita about what happened. She’s concerned about Nita and she’s been drinking to deal with the stress of her sons’ murder trial. Both Reginae and Toya worry she may end up using drugs again.
Things work out for King in Chattanooga.
King and Tiny go to a radio station in Chattanooga to announce he’s having a meet and greet. They believe this will help them figure out how many people King can bring out for a show.
King and Tiny are pleased with the turnout for the meet and greet. So they decide to move forward having a show there.
TI meets up with David Banner.
TI and Messiah visit David Banner at his office to talk about sex trafficking. They talk about Cyntoia Brown. She ended up killing her abuser who forced her into prostitution. She spent half of her life in prison and was finally freed a couple of years ago after getting so much support from the public.
TI is going to have her on his podcast.
Tommi makes things right.
While LeToya and Tommi are at home, Tommi apologizes for how badly he’s been treating her. He wants to continue therapy and be more loving towards her. This makes LeToya happy and they embrace. In a green screen interview, LeToya says she feels like they had a breakthrough. And things are only going to get better for them.
It’s the day of Toya and Red’s kickball game for cancer. Whichever team wins must donate to an organization of the other team’s choice.
Although TI and Tiny’s team had the lead for most of the game, Toya and Red’s team win. And Toya is happy to see that LeToya and Tommi are in a great place.
Tiny’s jewelry was stolen.
Toya and LeToya go out for cupcakes. LeToya thanks Toya for telling her to fight for her marriage now that things are much better with Tommi.
When they FaceTime Tiny, Tiny tells them that her jewelry was stolen, including her wedding ring. Apparently, these items were stolen from her car. And an investigation is still going on.
Cyntoia Brown tells her story.
Cyntoia comes by TI’s podcast. She says she served 15 years. And her time behind bars began when she was 16 years old. She had just gotten another appeal denied and then was told that TI had tweeted about her and gotten involved.
She wants people to understand that no teenager agrees to prostitution. A pimp usually comes into their life and forces them into it after being romantic.
As of now, she’s been working on her own nonprofit organization to save others. And she’s going to do a PSA with TI to warn people about sex trafficking.
Nita apologizes.
Toya and Nita go to a restaurant and talk. Nita apologizes for coming to the housewarming party drunk. She admits she was really stressed out about the murder trial.
Toya tells Nita that she needs to get help and talk to somebody. Nita hears her out but doesn’t commit to it yet.
