Rocko is getting ready for homecoming.
Monica takes her sons to a tuxedo shop because her oldest son Rocko is going to homecoming. After having a seizure, the doctors said that Rocko is in the clear and healing just fine.
It’s Rocko’s first homecoming. Monica recalls missing out on proms and homecomings when she was his age.
Due to Rocko’s excitement, he tells Monica that he doesn’t want to be late. And he’s taking his girlfriend of one year, Mariah, as his date.
When it comes to Monica’s divorce, she is expecting it to be final in a couple of days.
A birthday is on the way, and Major has plans.
Toya has a birthday coming up. She’s turning 36 years old and she wants to throw a throwback sleepover party. She’s inviting her mother even though she’s apprehensive to do so after the housewarming situation.
TI and Tiny are having some fun hanging out with the kids. Major sees a girl from school and tells TI he doesn’t want to speak to her. TI is puzzled by this and he wants Major to be more social.
But Major is more concerned about making a video game with King. He doesn’t know how to code but TI says that he may be able to help him with that.
Although TI knows that King and Tiny were in Chattanooga recently to figure out how to put a successful performance together to win the bet, he decides to keep this information to himself for now.
LeToya and Tommi are progressing, Monica gets upsetting news.
Monica finds out she has to go to court to finalize her divorce. This isn’t something she wants to do. She’s just hoping the documents pertaining to the kids and finances will be sealed so the family can have some privacy.
LeToya makes an appearance on Rickey Smiley’s morning show. She’s in a great place with Tommi and the couple is thankful for that.
And Tommi has been booking her appearances as of late. So he’s now officially her manager and LeToya is feeling good about this.
A trip is in the works.
Monica, Tiny, LeToya, and Toya catch up. When it comes to Monica’s divorce, she’s going back to her first last name. And she has to show up to court because she filed for divorce. So Shannon doesn’t have to.
They decide to have a girls trip and TI says that the men should have one too.
After hearing this, Monica says they should just have a family trip. And Mexico sounds like the right destination.
Monica and the kids moved out of Shannon’s house. For now, they are staying in a rental. And Monica plans on looking for a house.
This is something the kids will have to get adjusted to.
LeToya’s new music delivers, Monica is officially divorced.
While LeToya and Tommi are in the studio, LeToya’s label execs come by to listen to the music she’s recorded so far. She made Christmas music for people who aren’t necessarily in a happy place. This was something she decided to do while she was having problems with Tommi.
The execs like what they hear. And this makes LeToya very happy.
It’s the night of Rocko’s homecoming. Monica got his girlfriend Mariah a glam team since she’s never had her makeup professionally done before. So it’s an exciting night for the teens.
Later on, Monica makes her final appearance in court. She signs her paperwork and the divorce is final. She’s sad and feeling very overwhelmed. And she’s disappointed that the financial aspect of the divorce will be the only thing kept private.
