Kimmi can’t get LaTisha and Melody to see eye to eye.
The episode begins with Melody having her venue’s security escort LaTisha out. Kimmi’s shocked to hear this happened and she tries to keep LaTisha in the building. So Kimmi brings LaTisha to Melody’s side room. Martell steps in between Melody and LaTisha to try and stop things from blowing up. However, this makes things worse. LaTisha brings up the text messages Martell’s been sending everyone and how he filed a police report against Marsau.
Eventually, security escorts LaTisha out with Kimmi in tow. Meanwhile, Melody tells Destiny about what she did. Overall, Melody’s happy about the event and thankful for her genuine friends, like Destiny, who showed up for her event. While in the car, LaTisha calls Marsau about what happened. Marsau has an “I told you so moment” and tells LaTisha not to do this again. He also tells her that the Holts don’t add any value to her life.
Kimmi’s selling houses on the side.
It’s early in the morning and Kimmi and Maurice are stirring. Kimmi’s wearing multiple hats now. Not only is she a nurse, but she’s also selling homes. Meanwhile, Monster’s living fulltime with Marsau and Kimmi. As they’re getting ready for the day, Maurice knows Kimmi’s nervous about quitting her nursing job. He tells Kimmi that he doesn’t want to make her a housewife. He does want her to be an entrepreneur like him. Next, Kimmi tells Maurice about LaTisha being thrown out by Melody. Maurice says it was too much.
Later in the morning, Marsau and LaTisha reveal they are building a shopping center that will be anchored by a cigar lounge. They own the entire complex and it’s their crown jewel. While they’re checking on construction, Marsau expresses his frustration with LaTisha’s beef with Melody. He feels LaTisha’s not listening to him about it. He wants LaTisha to stop forcing a relationship with Melody. He wants LaTisha to “keep that same energy’ for their marriage. LaTisha leaves in disgust, calling Marsau a jerk after he tells LaTisha this.
Martell wants another child.
Meanwhile, the Holts visit Melody’s doctor. They are talking about Melody possibly getting her tubes tied. Martell wants another child and Melody isn’t excited about this. He’s insistent about having this 5th child. When the doctor leaves the room, Melody and Martell bring up LaTisha’s comments. They also didn’t like Kimmi straddling the fence and Martell calls her the side chick, referring to how she met Marsau. Martell says people on social media accused Maurice and Kimmi of getting together before he was divorced. Melody also goes off, letting Martell know she didn’t appreciate LaTisha bringing up the text messages, making it seem like Martell was exclusively texting LaTisha. She warns that the “old” LaTisha is back.
Wanda questions Kimmi’s loyalty.
Speaking of LaTisha, LaTisha has her mom Wanda as a guest on her podcast. During the podcast, LaTisha opens up about her new family challenges. LaTisha and Marsau moved out of their townhome, had their kids attend a new school, and Marsau’s frustrated with everything. Wanda then brings up Melody, saying she should get over Martell cheating as she knew he was a cheater two years into the marriage. Wanda jokes that she would’ve taken Martell to the clinic to get a vasectomy. She then goes off after hearing Melody had LaTisha escorted out of her MBrace Beauty event. She shocks LaTisha when she tells her she should’ve “slapped that b****.”
Wanda also warns LaTisha that Kimmi is shady and is straddling the fence. LaTisha doesn’t want to get involved and in-between any beef between Kimmi and Wanda.
Melody opens up to Destiny.
At her house, Melody’s with her newborn when Destiny comes over. Destiny’s also pregnant and nervous because she has apprehensions about everything. She moved into La’Berrick’s bachelor pad. Due to the stress of everything, including dealing with multiple miscarriages, they’re in therapy. Melody reveals to Destiny she had a miscarriage before Malani. She considered having an abortion during her last pregnancy due to problems in the marriage.
Lastly, she gives Destiny advice about overcoming challenges in marriage. She says it takes a lot of work to save a marriage.
LaTisha and Marsau clash.
LaTisha’s practicing a speech for an event when Marsau brings her a drink to relax her. He listens on as LaTisha rehearses. She’s nervous as this event is important for her. She didn’t cook dinner and that frustrates Marsau. He tells LaTisha he gave up a part of himself to be in this marriage and LaTisha needs to do the same. But LaTisha still has her own goals and is expressing this in her speech. Marsau feels LaTisha is discrediting him a bit by mentioning how she had to put her career last for her family.
After their discussion, Marsau tells LaTisha he isn’t going with LaTisha to the event.
