Mariah made some serious accusations.
“Married to Medicine” star and creator Mariah Huq has been a hot topic in the media as of late. Recently, she made some serious accusations about those in charge at Purveyors of Pop, the production company over the show. It was rumored Mariah sold the show. However, she denied this recently. And Mariah also claimed that she actually partnered with Purveyors of Pop. But things haven’t been going well behind the scenes.
In fact, Mariah says she’s been stripped of all her power. She hasn’t been involved in any of the spinoffs.
And when it comes to the drug accusations made by Quad Webb, she has an interesting perspective. Mariah feels the accusations were used to push her off the show. She also said that she isn’t treated as well as the nonblack creators at Bravo.
The most shocking accusation was Mariah alleging that the producers didn’t want her wearing her hijab while filming her green screen interview.
Mariah clears things up about Andy.
While her issues are mainly with Purveyors of Pop, Mariah did say that Bravo could step in and make things right. But they haven’t done this. And the network’s refusal to get involved has been perplexing. Meanwhile, the other cast members on the show don’t seem to be onboard with Mariah’s plight.
Dr. Heavenly Kimes said Mariah’s comments were truths mixed with lies. And Dr. Contessa Metcafe seemingly addressed it and said that people need to understand that there is more to the story. And it’s always more than what the viewers see.
Toya Bush-Harris also made Mariah feel unsupported with a recent comment she made on one of Mariah’s Instagram posts.
Since Mariah appears to be at odds with the production company and other women on the show, some have begun to question where she stands with Andy Cohen. At the last reunion, Mariah expressed frustration with Andy about how the Ramadan scene was edited. She claimed it had been edited to appear as if all she and her family did was discuss Quad. And she herself stopped her loved ones from discussing Quad. Well, Andy didn’t see it that way. This seemed to visibly upset Mariah.
When one of Mariah’s followers blamed Andy for Mariah’s issues behind the scenes, Mariah responded with, “Andy is not involved with MTM shenanigans. He is NOT a producer on MTM. He has always been very kind to me honestly.”
