Tami’s previous marriage wasn’t a happy one.
When Tami Roman made her debut on “Basketball Wives,” she clashed with Evelyn Lozada over her ex-husband. The issue was Evelyn slept with Kenny Anderson while he was still married to Tami. Evelyn said she didn’t know and she revealed this to Tami after they had been hanging out together for months.
Tami thought this was a very shady move. Plus, she believed Evelyn was very disrespectful to say that Tami was a “non motherf*cking factor” in her own marriage.
Viewers are fully aware that the two women were never really able to move past the situation.
Interestingly enough, Tami would go on to find love and marriage with Reggie Youngblood.
Reggie had tension with Tami’s daughter.
Although the relationship is one Tami believes is the healthiest and happiest one she’s ever been in, it hasn’t been a perfect journey. In fact, Reggie had some tension with Tami’s daughter Lyric before they tied the knot.
This was seen on the show. After Lyric suggested that Tami and Reggie babysit someone’s child just to see if they were ready to have a child together, Reggie wasn’t feeling this. And Lyric wasn’t feeling his tone towards her.
She said, “That’s kinda why I’m not even interested in trying to get to know you because you became defensive.”
At this point, it was pretty clear that Lyric and Reggie would need to take some time and work on their own relationship with each other.
The good news is Tami and Reggie are still very much solid. And they have made it to their two year anniversary. Tami penned a sweet message to Reggie on social media.
