Candiace is done with Monique.
Candiace is in the recording studio making a go go remix to her song for Chris, “I See You.” Chris is in the studio to show support. And he tells her he likes it better than the original. Both can’t believe the producer who’s working on the track has worked with notable artists like Faith Evans and Notorious BIG.
They discuss all the drama that went down at the lake house. At this point, Candiace says she’s done with Monique and she’s “plastic.”
In a green screen interview, she says she knows she was a good friend to Monique. So she’s letting it go.
Michael comes clean.
Michael and Ashley go to a restaurant to talk out their issues. There have been a lot of rumors floating around lately about Michael. Ashley was sent an article from Monique and Robyn claiming Michael was in a hotel with another woman. There were pictures.
Michael met a girl at a strip club and met some women. One woman asked Michael if he wanted to go to a hotel while he was drunk. But he passed out in the hotel room, and when he woke up, the woman snapped pictures of him and sent them to a blog.
He denies that he went around telling people he has a wife and a boyfriend. As for Michael, he says he was “inconsiderate.” And they lost their intimacy.
Ashley says they aren’t a traditional couple and once they were out, and she was attracted to another woman, so they later had a 3some with her. But he’s never done this behind her back. Michael tells Ashley that the “fun’s over.” And Ashley says if he does this again, she’s willing to walk away.
Michael gets irritated and tells a producer that he doesn’t want to keep filming because this is too real for him.
Monique wants her vision to succeed.
Monique has a meeting with her staff about Not For Lazy Moms. She has an event coming up, but she didn’t sell the amount of tickets she wanted to yet. As of now, she’s spent a lot of money. She wants to break even. Karen and Ray will speak, and so will Candiace and Chris but she’s confused as to why they haven’t had a honeymoon yet.
While Gizelle is at the furniture shop, Robyn meets her there. Of course, Robyn fills Gizelle in about Candiace and Monique clashing. Gizelle feels like she and Candiace needed to tell Ashley about what they heard about Michael the way they did it.
Robyn admits she accidentally sent the article about Michael to Ashley when she meant to send it to Charrisse.
It’s time for Wendy to make a decision.
Wendy and Eddie talk about her maternity leave ending. She’s not sure what she wants to do career-wise moving forward. Wendy realizes she’s not passionate about being a college professor. But she knows she will disappoint her mother if she changes careers. Her mother is an immigrant and will see this as a parenting failure.
Chris and Monique go for a walk and discuss the Not for Lazy Moms live podcast. She’s sold 20 out of 300 tickets. She’s spent close to $200,000 on start-up costs. Chris says she will have to shut it down if she doesn’t make a profit. Monique doesn’t like this, and Chris says she cut him off before he could finish talking.
Regardless, Candiace just dropped out from speaking at the live podcast. Monique thinks this is messed up because she will have to spend more money to update the promotional materials.
But Monique says it shouldn’t matter too much because Chris and Candiace were supposed to speak about the honeymoon phase when they haven’t even had a honeymoon.
In a green screen interview, Candiace says she didn’t want to attend because Monique wouldn’t even say goodbye to her at the lake house.
As for Monique, she’s done with Candiace. But Chris says he likes Candiace and Chris a lot.
Robyn has a plan.
Robyn talks to her mom and dad about looking for a new house and remarrying Juan. Her dad isn’t sure about this because he doesn’t want things to fall apart for a second time. But Robyn thinks the best thing to do is get marriage counseling before they tie the knot, again.
Ashley goes shopping with her mom and younger sister. Her younger sister has a different father and it happens to be Sheila’s partner whom Ashley and Michael aren’t fans of. And her younger sister needs something to wear for homecoming.
Sheila and Ashley discuss Michael. Both agree that Michael can’t do this again. And Ashley is prepared to leave him if he doesn’t change.
Ashley opens up about her marriage.
Gizelle has the ladies meet her at a winery to celebrate her literary award. Candiace and Monique don’t greet each other.
When Ashley gets there, she says that Micheal did end up in a hotel room with a woman. But he got drunk and passed out. When he was getting ready to leave, the woman took a picture. And she sent the photo to a blogger.
But he didn’t sleep with the woman.
Ashley also says that they don’t have a traditional marriage. And they were at a concert together once and she saw a woman she was attracted to. They then had a 3some with the woman. But at this point, she’s monogamous with Michael. And if he gets caught up again, they are done.
Before Ashley heads to the restroom, she tells all the women she loves them and appreciates their support. When they give the love back, Ashley then addresses the tension between Candiace and Monique.
Things get worse between Monique and Candiace.
After Ashley leaves for the restroom, Candiace and Monique start arguing. Candiace accuses Monique of faking being sleep when she tried to say bye at the lake house. Monique says she was really asleep and Candiace would understand if she had children. Candiace then accuses Monique of “mom shaming” her. After Candiace asks if Monique is going to drag her, Monique flips Candiace’s hair, she does the same, and then Monique puts her hands on Candiace before the episode ends on a cliffhanger.
