Michael opens up.
Wendy and Eddie are having a sip and see for Baby Cam. Since their mothers don’t get along, Eddie’s siblings have sided with their mom. So the couple isn’t sure that all of their loved ones will be there.
Michael and Ashley go to therapy to talk about their non-traditional marriage. Ashley says that she and Michael have never slept with other people without each other. So she’s worried about Michael stepping out on her again. She’s done entertaining other people in their marriage. And she wants the same from Michael.
As for Michael, he thinks Baby Dean has changed Ashley’s feelings on this. He’s now realizing that some issues he’s had with his own father may have made him the way he is as an adult. When he’s not happy with how things are going, he goes into his shell.
He and Ashley will have to learn how to communicate better in order for them to move forward.
Ray explains his issues with Karen.
As Wendy continues to prepare for her Nigerian sip and see, in a green screen interview, she says she’s not inviting Monique because some of the other ladies don’t want to be around her.
Ray and Karen talk about their marriage. At this point, Ray doesn’t think Karen gives him enough attention. She’s been focused on her career a lot lately and he wonders if the fame and fortune went to Karen’s head. Karen says this isn’t the case and she wants to do whatever it takes for them to overcome their issues.
After Candiace presses charges, she explains her decision.
Candiace calls her mother while she’s en route to speak to the prosecutor to officially press charges against Monique. She breaks down in tears and in a green screen interview, she says she must do this because people must face consequences when they assault someone.
Later on, while talking to her friend from college, Candiace says that Karen isn’t supporting her enough amid the fallout from the altercation.
Wendy and Eddie are going to use a museum to have their sip and see. Eddie says he is going to reach out to his family and invite them. He had a change of heart after their son questioned why they have never met their grandfather.
Ashley’s mother and uncle have some concerns.
Ashley hangs out with her mom Sheila and Uncle Lump. They discuss Michael and the fact that he admitted in therapy that his father was emotionally abusive after he had alcohol. Regardless, Uncle Lump says there is no excuse for what Michael did. He needs to have more willpower. And he needs to care about his family more than sex.
So Uncle Lump and Sheila want to have a conversation with him.
Robyn and Gizelle wonder if Candiace went too far.
Before the sip and see starts, the blogs report that Monique has been charged with Second Degree Assault. Eddie says that Monique could end up getting jail time for the altercation.
While the women eat, Candiace talks about filing charges. Gizelle and Robyn say they don’t want Monique to go to jail. Dorothy then interjects and says that an assault has consequences.
Ashley then speaks and says that from what she heard in the restroom, Monique and Candiace were yelling at each other before the altercation. And Candiace was in Monique’s face, too. Candiace then asks Ashley if Monique is paying her “too.” Ashley says no and she’s good because she’s married to a millionaire. Candiace then says “not for long.” Chris gets irritated and tells Candiace to “just stop talking.”
She then tells Ashley she wasn’t there but she understands she’s going to listen to what Monique tells her.
More pressure is put on Karen.
The topic then becomes Karen and she once again makes it clear she isn’t going to choose sides. But her opinion on someone involved in the situation may have changed but she won’t share what she feels until all the facts are put on the table. In a green screen interview, Robyn says it just seems as if Karen chose Monique’s side.
Later on, Wendy and Eddie talk after the event ends. Eddie is disappointed his family didn’t show up despite him inviting them.
