BFV Recap: Traci Goes off at Trina’s Wedding + Breaks Down Over Her Niece’s Passing

Braxton Family Values Season 7 Episode 3

Trina and Von tie the knot.

The episode begins with Trina and Von’s wedding about to start. Trina’s sisters are holding her train when Traci trips over her pants and a plant. Despite this, they help her walk down the aisle with Michael Sr. by Trina’s side. Meanwhile, Von’s at the altar in a gray suit, white shirt, and gold tie. Judge Mablean officiates the wedding.

The ceremony goes off without a hitch.

The couple even received a standing ovation from everyone in attendance. After the ceremony, Traci’s talking to Michael Sr. sensitive about tripping while holding Trina’s train and expecting her sisters to talk trash about it. Sean comes over, directing Michael Sr. to the rest of the wedding party. Traci’s salty about Sean doing this as she feels Sean’s always poking his head in the family business.

Despite this, Michael Sr. gets up to join the wedding party and leaves Mrs. Wanda with Traci still venting about her sisters.

Traci goes off.

Another left turn occurs when Michael Sr. sings to Trina, surprising the sisters and Evelyn. Traci joins her dad and helps him out. When Traci returns to her seat, Oliviah (Kevin Jr.’s girlfriend) tells Traci her sisters were laughing at her. This clearly angers Traci. Traci tells Miss Wanda that her sisters are “foul” for laughing at her.

Towanda tries to go over to talk to Traci but Traci isn’t having it. In fact, Traci tells Towanda, “shut the f**k up” and “f**k you.” Kevin and Sean come over to try and calm them down.

As this goes on, Von’s brother is toasting the newly wedded couple. Meanwhile, Kevin is talking to Towanda about what transpired as Traci walks to Trina’s dressing room. The sisters then head back there and Traci goes off on them once again. This is where the alleged altercation between Tamar and Traci takes place. Trina and Von overhear Traci going off. However, they decide to ignore the commotion.

Next, Towanda and Tamar talk and learn what set Traci off. Both agree Oliviah caused the ruckus. Apparently, they were laughing at their dad singing the wrong lyrics.

Eventually, the cake was cut as Kevin and Traci appeared to leave and the reception party continued without any more trouble.

An altercation between Tamar and Traci is confirmed.

A few days after the wedding, Towanda invites Trina over for a chat before Trina and Von head out on their honeymoon. Of course, they’re talking about the wedding. The commotion at the wedding comes up and Towanda explains her side. Apparently, the sisters were laughing about how their dad was off-tempo. Towanda tells Trina that although Kevin’s girlfriend Olivah said they were laughing at Traci, Miss Wanda told Traci they weren’t.

Next, Towanda tells Trina that Traci and Tamar got into a physical altercation in Trina’s dressing room. Trina says she understands how Traci was feeling about the laughing and her sensitivity to the allegations. Towanda then says Oliviah was out of line for even telling Traci anything about the laughter. Meanwhile, Michael Sr. and Michael Jr. are waiting on Traci at a restaurant. While they wait, they talk about what happened at the wedding and how they’re worried about Traci. Eventually, Traci shows up and expects to be questioned.

But before discussing the wedding, they do express their feelings regarding the passing of Michael Jr’s daughter Lauren.

Next, Traci tells them how she felt about everything that happened and her brother suggests to talk to somebody about her anger regarding her sisters. Traci seemingly agrees.

Later on, Toni’s in the dressing room for a pick-up shoot for her music video. Tamar stops by to watch as Toni’s concerned about her health amid the pandemic. Toni has Lupus and is at high risk for infection. Meanwhile, Tamar’s birthday trip was canceled.

Despite her concerns, Toni soldered through. In the dressing room, Tamar’s spraying everyone with sanitizer. Toni then notices Tamar’s voice is raspy and has a sore throat. But Toni’s not too concerned as Tamar’s heavy with the sanitizer.

Traci sees a therapist.

Meanwhile, Traci takes Michael Jr’s advice and meets with a therapist. They first talk about her niece and then the commotion at the wedding. Traci explains how Tamar apparently got too close to her in Trina’s dressing space, further confirming the altercation. She then explains she’s “better seen than not heard.”

Flashbacks then play from the other seasons surrounding past drama with Traci and her sisters. Traci calls it all disrespectful. The therapist is able to tie the drama with her sisters and how it’s amplified with the loss of her niece Lauren. This talk brings Traci to tears as she says she now feels alone.

Traci then breaks down when she reveals she’s afraid of never seeing her niece again. She and her therapist head away from the cameras as Traci’s crying her eyes out. When things calm down, Traci reveals that she would’ve never gone off at what Olivah told her if Lauren was still here.

The Braxtons shelter-in-place.

Later on, Tamar and Toni are FaceTiming one another as their cities were under a stay at home order amid the pandemic. They both express how they are quarantining with their children. Tamar then surprises Toni when she reveals she’s taking online classes at Harvard.

Next, due to the pandemic and quarantining, Toni’s changing her opening single, much to her disappointment.

In Atlanta, Trina and Von are sheltering in place with Evelyn. Trina didn’t feel comfortable with Evelyn staying in her condo amid the stay at home order, so she moved her into the guest suite at their home. Evelyn thanked them both with a big breakfast and Trina jokes about Evelyn spoiling Von with the food. Von’s clinic is staying open and he has to leave as his career was deemed essential by their Governor.

Back in LA, Toni gets a call from Michael Jr. who’s in Lauren’s room. He asks Toni if she talked to Traci and Toni reveals she hasn’t as she was upset about what happened. Toni reveals that she and her sisters may be doing something wrong towards Traci unintentionally and they need to stop. Meanwhile, Michael reveals Traci’s still grieving over Lauren’s passing.

And in D.C., Kevin Sr. returns home. He’s in a full jumpsuit as he had to work on a Covid unit at the VA Hospital. He also tells Traci that he could be deployed anywhere during the pandemic.

Lastly, Evelyn, Michael, Toni, and all the Braxtons talk about Tamar’s suicide attempt. They each express how they learned Tamar was rushed to the hospital. Everyone expresses sadness and anguish over what happened.

Traci really needs help. Her behavior is atrocious. And its disgusting she is blaming her behavior on the death of her niece.

      November 20, 2020 at 8:58 am

Agree, she’s been getting on my nerves for quite some time, you can love someone from a distance and in her case that’s what she needs to do until she is stronger. They all have a strange sisterhood bond.

      • Get Busy

        November 21, 2020 at 11:46 am

There is no true sisterhood between them in my opinion.

    • LaQuetta Ward

      November 21, 2020 at 3:40 pm

To all of you people who keep saying that Traci’s horrible behavior is due to grief are the reason why her and Tamar think it’s okay to be like that. I lost THE most important person in my life my mother and never treated my family like she is doing plus she was acting like this WAY BEFORE their niece died. No this is a bitter person who is upset over something that happened over 20 years ago what was her sisters supposed to do loss their deal waiting on her to have her son. Also she talks family loyalty but her a-s wasn’t loyal when she kept on filming when the others went on strike hoping to get pay raises she only sees what others do wrong and not her own mistakes.

      • Veronica

        November 21, 2020 at 3:44 pm

Girl bye. So Traci wasn’t loyal for not joining the strike but her sisters were loyal to sign that contract without her? And what’s Tamar’s excuse for being horrible all these years? She’s off the show now so why is she still mad and dragging her own family on social media? You Tamar fans are so hypocritical and annoying.

        November 21, 2020 at 8:17 pm

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I agree 100%. I’ve lost so many people including my mother, and brother. Traci has been acting like this since the show started. There’s a much deeper issue.

        • Diamond

          November 21, 2020 at 8:28 pm

And this means what exactly? Traci is supposed to grieve the same way you did? It’s easy to sit on the internet and judge people who have the courage to show their true flaws and battles while you play perfect on the internet. Tamar tried to kill herself and here y’all are still judging and tearing down another black woman. Now if Traci tries to hurt herself next, you’re the same people who will jump on the internet with your fake thoughts and prayers. Disgusting.

      • Diamond

        November 21, 2020 at 8:23 pm

And who made you GOD?! Everyone doesn’t grieve the same. Y’all are real comfortable talking down to people because they are courageous enough to show the ugly sides of themselves while you get to pretend you’re perfect on the internet. Get over yourself. I’m so tired of y’all dogging out other black women. Then you think you have the right to tell someone to get over something you didn’t personally experience. The nerve!

I’ve come to a conclusion tonight. Tamar and Traci are exactly alike. This is why they don’t get along honestly.

    • Demetria Wilburn

      November 20, 2020 at 4:13 pm

Traci is more caring than Tamar, she will try to work things out. Tamar is selfish and spoil rotten, she is never wrong, she has to be in the lime light. The whole family has issues they need to work on. Traci will admit she is wrong.
I wish them both the best with their counseling.

    November 20, 2020 at 5:11 am

Traci has been a ball of confusion way before her niece passed away, but if that’s the angle the fellas can use to persuade her to seek help, so be it. God bless her therapist because she has her hands FULL. Traci is a hott mess!

  4. LaQuetta Ward

    November 20, 2020 at 6:27 am

I can see why Tamar left the show Traci is basically a backstabbing emotional wreck of a person but that’s why you should watch what you say or you’ll end up putting your foot in your mouth like she did last night. One minute she has the only family she needs in her husband and son and the next oh my I love my sisters GTFOH and Girl Bye.

    • Pat

      November 20, 2020 at 6:56 am

Tamar is just as big of a mess as Traci is. She left the show and she’s still in mess. The whole family is messed up but some of you ain’t got the wisdom to see that. Too busy being stans. This show needs to be finished after this season.

    • Demetria Wilburn

      November 20, 2020 at 4:09 pm

You cannot put everything on Traci. Tamar is a spoil selfish brat, who wants the spot light. The family has always spoiled Tamar, they never put her in her place when she was wrong. Tamar has always shown she did not care for Traci. For example what was wrong in sharing her birthday with Traci since they were born in the same month?
The only people who have truly been there for Traci is her father, husband, brother and her decease niece. Traci lost part of her and she has not accepted
D it and her sisters acted like they did not care at all. Everything was about Trima getting married and during her grief she was there for Trina. Olivia should have kept her mouth close, she knew anything could set the fuse to the powder keg.
I am glad Traci is getting help. I hope the family work things out.

      • Karrina

        November 21, 2020 at 4:40 am

The trip to Napa was Tamar’s birthday trip NOT Traci. Just like Trina had her own event. Traci attacked everyone gets upset calls her sister B-tches and you blame Tamar. Tamar tried to make up to Traci by inviting her on her trip. All Traci had to do was speak with Tamar if she felt she was being mistreated. Instead she does what she always does run away to soak and blame everyone else. I do agree she definitely needs professional help!! She hates the family so much she should stay off the show. I think a lot of the drama is in her head.

    • Get Busy

      November 21, 2020 at 11:48 am

You must be a Tamar stan. Y’all live in a completely different universe from everyone else.

  5. Natalie

    November 20, 2020 at 6:58 am

I feel for Traci. I get that the sisters were concerned but to bamboozle her was too much. Especially feeling the way Traci has felt for years.
Maybe they didn’t know because she hid her feelings well all of the time. She felt like an outsider. She covered her pain with smiles and laughter. It’s like holding onto a secret that you want to tell so bad but no one is there to listen.
Now it has come to a head. I think the loss of her niece triggered the loss of her best bestest friend. No one knew what they spoke of but them. Her niece was her sounding board…no fears…no judgements.
I sincerely hope Traci comes out on the other side of this. Her counselor seems awesome. 🙏🏾

I agree praying for you traci

    • Demetria Wilburn

      November 20, 2020 at 4:16 pm

I agree with you 100%. Traci did not have her sisters as she should have had, she only had her niece along with her father and brother. There is nothing like a sister bond which she had in her niece.
Traci is a survivor and she will survive and her husband us by her side.

Well Toni and Tamar is dumb as a box of rocks Toni didn’t even know that George Washington was the first president and didn’t know who chopped down a cherry tree Tamar didn’t know that Lincoln was the 16th president good thing they can sing Towanda is only one that act like she got any kind of education but I do have something good to say I love their mother she’s beautiful and intelligent oh I do like the girls all but Tamar she’s much too selfish and spoiled and always got to be seen

  6. B

    November 20, 2020 at 7:02 am

I appreciate that the producers played back a few scenes of Traci being disrespected, trashed, and gaslit by her so called sisters. They always act like they don’t know why she’s so hurt but they’ve been treating her like the outcast for years. Oliviah probably wasn’t lying given Toni, Towanda, and Tamar’s track records. I just wish she would’ve waited to tell Traci some other time. The wedding wasn’t the right place because Trina is the only one who understands and truly acts like she cares about Traci.

    • Missy j

      November 20, 2020 at 1:01 pm

Hallelujah you’re so right. Trina do have the heart.

    • Layla

      November 21, 2020 at 4:47 am

Are you serious. What scene did you watch. Everyone was enjoying the wedding and laughing at their father vocals. They showed the entire clip. Tamar definitely wasn’t trying to beef with Traci. Just like Tracey assumed everyone would say she was drinking. She’s the only person that said it. You think it was called for her to call her sisters B-TCHES? AS Usual Traci removes herself from the family and cries hurt when they respect her wishes to leave. Come on now. Please refresh my memory on the scenes Traci was disrespected??

    • Vickie

      November 21, 2020 at 9:03 am

Gm🙏❤ I really enjoy them together when they came together they were funny & entertaining. Olivia was lying they didn’t say anything about Tracy they were goofing on their dad. Traci came on the show mad and seem to have a good time being with her sisters until Olivia lied. I Pray the sisters get it together🙏

  7. Nessa

    November 20, 2020 at 7:04 am

As many meltdowns and tantrums Tamar has had over the years, Traci is allowed to have a few. Next!

  8. What A Shame

    November 20, 2020 at 7:22 am

Yeah I don’t really understand how some people can watch this show and then say, “Yeah, this is someone I should bash on the internet and in blog comments.” These people are all hurting and dealing with mental health issues on top of past traumas. Instead of praying for them, you’re bashing them every season. Tamar just attempted to take her life and Traci lost someone she was really close to, and y’all are really on here bashing both? Humanity is definitely at its lowest now. God help us and God help this family.

    • Blackrose

      November 20, 2020 at 7:53 am

Stop. What profit a man to gain the world and suffer the loss of their soul. They sign up for this. Knowing it is toxic.

      • What A Shame

        November 20, 2020 at 7:56 am

Yeah, you don’t really want to quote Bible scriptures when you’re defending people bashing other people on the internet. No, they did not sign up to be bashed by their own people.

      • Vanessa Johnson

        November 20, 2020 at 8:39 am

Great. Now do the scripture about not judging people. Or are the Braxtons the only ones who need to be obedient to God and adhere to scripture?

    • Shannon

      November 20, 2020 at 8:17 am

I completely agree. What’s sad is it’s mainly black women doing the bashing. Where’s the empathy for all of these black women and this black family? Someone on here said this fan base is toxic. That person told the absolute truth.

      • Oprah's Wig

        November 20, 2020 at 8:56 am

The fans are very toxic. They will get on Twitter and IG and egg them on to drag each other. And the crazy thing is most of these messy fans would never get on social media and drag their own family. But these fans love to see this family in shambles. It’s entertaining to them.

    • Vanessa Johnson

      November 20, 2020 at 8:40 am

Well said. The people bashing them ain’t nothing but hypocrites. I pray this family is blessed with happiness and healing. I feel for them.

    November 20, 2020 at 8:47 am

Just came here to say Trina is the most level headed one out of the sisters. Her boo also wants no parts of the mess, so that’s another plus. Their brother is also very level headed and emotionally intelligent. Now let me leave because these BFV posts always turn into mess and fandom wars.

    • Mz305

      November 20, 2020 at 2:16 pm

That’s exactly why I don’t say anything. I just read and keep strolling. All family has their issues and we all goes through our ups and downs but I don’t believe that we should involve social media.I’m just saying…SENDING PRAYERS🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

  10. Ms. Jackson

    November 20, 2020 at 8:51 am

Sh-t let’s keep it 100. They probably were laughing at Traci. If you’ve been watching this show from day one, then you already know that these sisters are very critical of one another. They judge each other’s husbands/men/marriages, weight, vocals, kids, etc. They have been toxic for so long that them laughing at Traci for her singing ain’t hard to believe. But Traci needs to stick to therapy and master the art of not giving a f-ck. Once she stops seeking the approval of her sisters, she’ll have a peaceful life. They ain’t the end all be all. You can love your family but not give them access to your emotional well being.

  11. Bee

    November 20, 2020 at 9:07 am

Traci needs to cherish the good relationships she has. If she’s good with Trina, time to focus on that and let the broken relationships with Tamar and Towanda go. You don’t have to be close or friends because you’re sisters. Sometimes you just don’t like your sisters, and sometimes they just don’t like you. Focus on your mental health and let people go that need to be let go. Traci should take a page out of Tamar’s book and leave this show so she won’t keep being forced to film with people she doesn’t get along with.

  12. My 2 Cents

    November 20, 2020 at 9:39 am

I get how Traci feels but she’s wrong. This wasn’t the time and place for that reaction. I’m glad she’s getting therapy now because she has to learn how to process her anger in a healthier way.

  13. And What?

    November 20, 2020 at 1:33 pm

Some of you know nothing about grief. Traci is for sure acting like someone who is grieving. She was closer to her niece than any of her sisters. The loss is devastating for her and I’m sure her brother as well. One thing about Traci is she’s always been honest about her feelings. It’s just that people don’t care and dismiss them. She will need intense therapy to accept that a lot of people including her own family don’t care about her feelings.

    • Demetria Wilburn

      November 20, 2020 at 4:28 pm

I agree with you. This was a time when she truly need her sisters and her mother. No was there for her. Even though she was hurting she showed up for Trina. Grieving takes alot out of you , you do not need negativity you need positive and caring people around you who will listen not criticize you and you need comfort. Traci only had her husband, brother ,father, son and her niece who really cared for her. Her niece was the sister who she talk to and recieve true love and friendship from. Now since her niece/ sister is gone who do she have beside the men in her life ? I know she has a daughter in law and grand child but that is different, niece was there before them.
      I wish Traci the best!!!!!!

    • Bee

      November 21, 2020 at 2:19 pm

Yea I agree. Traci creates drama and takes everything personal, likes to hold grudges and be negative as h-ll and expects everyone to go back in time and change what? Idk. She’s annoying with all the whining it’s like she’s paranoid

  14. LaQuetta Ward

    November 21, 2020 at 4:19 pm

Veronica who told me Girl Bye this was back in the 90’s before Me Too and every other women’s rights evolution they had to take what was given when it was given because it was only given since Toni was a big star and felt the need to include her sisters it was Traci’s own fault that she got left behind. Also not a big Tamar fan her behavior is just as bad as Traci’s but I am tired of Traci playing the d-mn victim and not taking accountability for her own behavior point blank period.

    • Veronica

      November 21, 2020 at 4:32 pm

Again, GIRL BYE. You will not talk about loyalty when they signed that contract without her. Trina told y’all years ago that she was pregnant too when they signed that contract and Traci being given that ultimatum when she wasn’t given one was unfair. If you can’t understand that, you really can’t talk about loyalty. Just like her sisters put themselves first and signed that contract without Traci, Traci put herself first and didn’t participate in the strike. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. And I doubt you aren’t a Tamar fan. Y’all have the same tired rhetoric. You’re calling out Traci for playing the victim but everyone outside of Tamar stans knows Tamar has been playing the victim for years and takes no accountability ever, not even in that Tamron Hall interview she just did! I’m sure you were silent all these years Tamar and Towanda dragged Traci’s husband, and when Toni told Traci she was too big and needed to lose weight on a show millions watch. You were probably silent when they didn’t make a big deal out of Traci’s birthday but went all out for Tamar’s. Y’all get on my nerves always dragging Traci but ignoring the dysfunction from the others.

  15. Diamond

    November 21, 2020 at 8:31 pm

It is absolutely shameful how you people get on this blog and bash other black women who are obviously hurting and dealing with trauma. And you do it so you can continue to pretend to be perfect on the internet. Y’all learned nothing from Tamar trying to kill herself. Have empathy for others! My goodness!

  16. D Prince

    November 26, 2020 at 5:19 pm

Ok, Here it is people. When you “choose” to put yourself in the public eye, especially with a reality show, expect to get criticized. I don’t particularly care for reality shows, and the ine wasn’t as bad as others, but between Cancer and COVID, I am running out of things to watch.
There are issues in every family, especially amongst sisters. However, this goes deeper. There are medically emotional issues with Tamar and Tracie. I also believe that being in front of a camera makes people more dramatic. The show itself was a bad idea. Reality TV is known for destroying families, marriages and friendships. As well as having the ability to cause people to be someone other than who they are. I do mean both physically and characteristically. Now remember these girls are PKs, Preacher’s Kids. To me it’s like cutting meat, when you cut against the grain the slices are jagged, aesthetically unpleasing to the eye and not as enjoyable to eat. The sisters chose to live against the grain of who they actually are for a different kind of fame. So, now they have become like that meat, rough, unpleasing to each other and no longer enjoyable to each other. Just pray for that entire family…Mama, Daddy, Sisters and Brother. Perhaps it’s time to just come back “Home”. Ya’ll know what I mean.
