After charges are dismissed, Candiace Dillard expressed disappointment.
Candiace Dillard was not happy her charges against Monique Samuels were dismissed. The “Real Housewives of Potomac” star feels like Monique betrayed her when she assaulted Candiace at a winery. At this point, Candiace believes the media’s coverage of the altercation is why the outcome happened. And the judge was probably turned off by the headlines.
However, Monique says that the judge reviewed the raw footage. And the judge came to the conclusion that the fight was consensual. She went on to say that if a person keeps asking to be dragged, they can’t be mad when someone obliges.
Robyn Dixon said the altercation didn’t result in a lot of physical damage.
The other women discussed the charges being dismissed on the After Show.
Robyn Dixon seems to think the outcome made sense. She said, “I wasn’t surprised just because there wasn’t a whole lot of physical damage that was done. And then I know that Monique filing that countersuit was a strategic move. You know, I think it’s when stuff like that happens, that’s in order to get to them to throw the cases out.”
While Robyn thinks charges being dismissed isn’t unexpected, she also said that she still felt bad for Candiace. Like Gizelle Bryant, she didn’t want Monique to go to jail. But she did understand that filing the charges may have been Candiace’s attempt at getting closure.
She said, “I was disappointed for Candiace because I know that did not offer her the closure she needed.”
