The PSA is brought back up.
Years ago, Cynthia Bailey’s mother Barbara Bailey opened up about being a victim of domestic abuse. She accused Cynthia’s father of being violent towards her when they were together. This was discussed as the ladies came together to film a PSA about domestic violence. It was Kenya Moore’s production.
After Barbara expresses that she didn’t know the PSA would be shown on TV, Cynthia apologizes and asks if she’s okay with Cynthia inviting her father to the wedding. Even though Barbara says she doesn’t care, Noelle Robinson senses that Barbara isn’t comfortable with him being there. So she tells Cynthia that she’s only seen her grandfather once. And her grandmother has always been there for them. So they should put Barbara first and not invite her ex.
Cynthia Bailey feels guilty.
In a green screen interview, Cynthia says that she feels like her existence got in the way of her mother’s dreams.
“As their firstborn, I feel responsible for a lot of the issues that my parents had. I do feel guilty that she got pregnant with me because I know my mom is beautiful, smart. I mean she could have been a model. She could have done anything with her life. But she got pregnant with me.”
She continues, “So I just always never want to disappoint her.”
