On the latest episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Porsha and Shamea have a sitdown to get to the bottom of their tension. Here are the highlights for, “Let’s Be Honest.”
Porsha and Shamea’s rift leads to a range of emotions.
Shamea and Cynthia catch up. To no surprise, they discuss the tension that has been brewing between Shamea and Porsha. Cynthia hates to see close friends at odds. Their falling out reminds her of her ups and downs with NeNe. It was tough to be so close to NeNe and then get to a point where they wouldn’t speak when they had to be around each other.
Discussing their friendship issues makes Shamea emotional. She wishes Porsha didn’t discuss their tension with the other women. She also tells Cynthia that their friendship is already hard to maintain because their mothers are no longer friends. Shamea feels like Diane badmouths her to Porsha as a result. When producers ask Shamea what caused their mothers to fall out, Shamea refuses to disclose the cause.
Porsha doesn’t want to lose her friendship with Shamea.
Angela, Cynthia, and Porsha go bowling. Porsha becomes tearful as she discusses her ongoing divorce. Her daughter Pilar has been asking about Simon. She wants to know where he is and when Porsha texted him this, he left the message on read.
Stress from the divorce is why Porsha feels like she can’t take on a second divorce from Shamea. She hopes their friendship can be saved. However, being labeled as a bad friend who keeps Shamea in the shadows bothers her.
Ralph is making the divorce difficult for Drew.
Drew talks to her mother about the latest updates in her divorce battle with Ralph. He is trying to get her attorney removed from the case. Ralph wants part ownership of both of her businesses, including a newer one she manages independently. To make matters worse, he changed the security code so she wasn’t able to get in their house recently. She had to stay overnight at a hotel until Ralph let her in. At this point, she just wants to move on. Drew doesn’t understand why Ralph feels the need to be mean-spirited.
Angela spends time with her mother LaMargaret. She and Angela’s sister are moving into a new place. This is disappointing for Angela because she and Charles bought them a home in Atlanta years ago. But they insisted on being more self-sufficient.
Porsha and Shamea hash things out.
When Angela brings up LaMargaret’s fractured relationship with Charles, LaMargaret says she didn’t like how Charles was talking about Angela one day so she confronted him. He said Angela wasn’t cleaning the house enough. LaMargaret didn’t like this. Regardless, she loves Charles like a son.
In related and sad news, Angela confirmed her mother passed away ahead of the episode premiere.
Thank you all so much!
Please hug your mothers a little bit tighter tonight. 💔 I love you mommy, I hope I made you proud. 💕💕🕊️ https://t.co/LajGIibK6B— Angela Oakley (@angelaoakley34) May 19, 2025
Shamea and Porsha meet at a restaurant to talk about their issues after they clashed during Porsha’s pampering event. It starts off rocky because Porsha deep sighs while Shamea is expressing her feelings. After Porsha walks off, both agree they don’t like being at odds. They don’t want their friendship to end so Porsha will try to make sure Shamea feels heard moving forward. Both hug it out and seem relieved they may be able to move on from this.
What are your thoughts on the episode? Phaedra will make her first official return to the show in the upcoming episode. Are you ready for Phaedra?
Okay I’m confused why is Shamea playing victim when she caused all of this talking about Porsha to those other girls first? I don’t even like Porsha but it’s weird how Shamea has spun this the way she has. Homegirl may be more calculated than Porsha smh.
Angela I am so sorry for your loss. May the Lord help you all get through this most difficult time 🙏🙏🙏. No I’m not ready for Phaedra boring self. I’d rather see NeNe come back than Phaedra
Porsha isn’t a good friend but neither is Shamea. They are a lot alike imo.
