“Queen Sugar” is back. On the season premiere, It’s the end of Black History month and Charley has a big celebration planned. She will host a celebration honoring the slave turned saint who the county is named after. Aunt Vi and Hollywood are busy preparing for the event.
Meanwhile, Nova has an event of her own. She’s launching a new website that will be funded by sales of her book. The family also witnesses Frances Boudreaux sentenced to prison for her role behind the Queen Sugar fire.
But Charley has to now deal with Sam’s daughter Parker. Although Charley wins a battle in court, saving Ralph Angel’s farm, Parker blindsides Charley at the St. Josephine celebration.
Micah’s missing all of the drama because he’s off to college. And he can’t come home because he’s busy joining a fraternity.
Lastly, Ralph Angel takes the next step with Darla.
