It’s well over a month since the Covid-19 pandemic reached St. Joes on the latest “Queen Sugar.” Although Charley and the county officials only planned for a 2-week stay-at-home order, it’s been over a month. As a result, citizens and business owners are frustrated.
While people accuse Aunt Vi of violating stay-at-home orders, Darla ends up furloughed. Ralph Angel also is unable to harvest his sugar cane crop. As a result, money’s tight and Ralph Angel decides to get a job.
This decision brings Ralph Angel full circle as he’s fully walking in his father’s footsteps.
Meanwhile, Hollywood is in contact with his mom. He becomes worried when she begins to exhibit symptoms of someone who contracted the virus.
Lastly, Nova’s clearly worried about Prosper. With the extended stay-at-home order, Prosper’s home alone and hasn’t had much human contact. However, he’s adamant about practicing social distancing.
