There wasn’t a resolution for OG.
Season 9 of “Basketball Wives” may have ended with some friendships being restored, but the biggest sources of contention on the show remain unresolved. And these are the colorism and racism accusations made by OG. Even though OG was open to having conversations with the other women, these conversations weren’t productive. When Malaysia Pargo and Kristen Scott came over to talk, OG was skeptical. Considering her history with both women, she pointed out the fact that she didn’t talk to either a year or so after they filmed the reunion for season 8.
So she questioned if both women came to talk to her because of the backlash they were receiving on social media.
OG also ended up having tension with Jennifer Williams and Jackie Christie. By the end of season 9, neither woman believed that OG was a victim of racism and colorism by the group. And after Jackie felt that she too had been accused of being colorist towards OG, she got really upset. She also asked OG to leave the mansion they were all staying in.
Was “Basketball Wives” canceled?
With no resolution taking place between OG and the others, as well as dwindling ratings, people began to suspect that season 9 was the final season of “Basketball Wives.” The speculation only intensified after it was revealed that a reunion wouldn’t be filmed.
However, Jennifer recently told a fan of the show that “Basketball Wives” will return. In fact, she revealed this after they asked her if the season was over.
In response to this question, Jennifer wrote, “Yes! It was more a pandemic special! We will be back Season 10 hopefully with some normalcy…”
UPDATE: Evelyn recently did an interview with Wendy Williams and said that the cast is happy that they will be able to film the show normally next season. While she believes she will be returning for season 10, she does like to take her time to really think about if doing another season is best for her.
