Kandi Burruss was upset about the leak of Porsha Williams’ text messages.
Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams appear to be in a much better place, but they did have a disagreement amid the Black Lives Matter Movement. And Porsha was accused of telling the producers to edit the disagreement out of the current season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” In fact, Kenya Moore was the one who said the scene was taken out. During her appearance on Kandi’s “Speak On It,” she said Porsha dogged Kandi out, “There was a person dogging you out with our group, a second group, for speaking up for Black Lives Matter for the group. So that peppered the way I felt about everything else I’ve seen them do. That’s an important scene to keep in, don’t you think?”
It all started after Michelle Brown from the Straight From the A blog posted the texts on her YouTube channel.
Porsha and NeNe weren’t thrilled that Kandi sent an email to Bravo executives about the changes she wanted to see. For NeNe and Porsha, they wanted the whole cast to come together and do this as a group.
Porsha Williams decided to speak on it.
After the Vulture interview and Kandi’s comments on the situation went viral, Porsha decided it was time to talk about it on Instagram.
And she said that she never bashed Kandi. They were able to talk it out and realize that it was all a misunderstanding. She also said that she did tell producers that airing a conversation between black women as they disagreed over a Black Lives Matter issue wasn’t a good look. The producers agreed. However, Kenya thinks this was a shady move by Porsha.
For Porsha, she questions why Kenya would even want black women to be on television arguing about a movement that is so serious to the culture. She was able to hash things out with Kandi and she thinks Kenya is trying to stir issues between them.
Porsha also shared the text messages she sent to NeNe and said that no one bashed Kandi.
Also, Porsha then said that she has joined Ben & Jerry’s in their fight against Qualified Immunity. Unfortunately, as Porsha began to break down what Qualified Immunity is and how important it is in the fight against police brutality, thousands of people began to leave the Instagram Live session.
