The last season of RHOP was really hard for Candiace Dillard.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” star Candiace Dillard had a very eventful recent season thanks to her altercation with Monique Samuels. In fact, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” controversy had everyone talking well before the season even premiered. While Candiace did have some supporters, others were very critical. And they felt as if Candiace brought the violence on herself.
So it was a very emotional situation. But one blow she didn’t see coming as a result of the altercation was Ashley Darby’s later involvement. After Candiace decided to take Monique to court and press charges, Monique asked Ashley to give a character statement on Candiace. This of course brought back up the time that Candiace threw a butter knife at Ashley.
Candiace was furious. At the time, she thought that she and Ashley were moving forward. And they were in the process of working on having somewhat of a friendship.
After Ashley made a revelation about the character statement, she and Candiace got right back on bad terms. Interestingly enough, Candiace has some things to say about Ashley recently to fans of the show. And she believes that Ashley receives less criticism from the fan base because she has light skin.
