Bravo continues to support Eboni K. Williams amid the backlash.
The current season of “Real Housewives of New York” has a lot of people talking. And while some fans of the show do support the addition of Eboni K. Williams, others do not. They take issue with Eboni’s decision to bring up race and politics on the show. Plus, they didn’t like the fact that she used an event to teach the other women about the Harlem Renaissance. So she has been accused of being too preachy. And critics online have said they don’t watch RHONY for these types of conversations. In fact, they prefer to see the women get drunk, pee, and poop themselves.
Well, Bravo wants viewers to understand that they stand behind Eboni one hundred percent.
They recently sent the following statement to E! News, “Bravo invited Eboni K. Williams as the first Black woman to join the cast of The Real Housewives of New York to be her authentic self, which has brought a new perspective to the show.” The statement continued, “We support Eboni in expressing her views, and we are proud that the show is addressing these important and relevant issues.”
