The current season of RHONY has been controversial.
“Real Housewives of New York” fans have had a lot to say about the current season on social media. Eboni K. Williams is the first black woman to become a main cast member. Things were going smoothly. As Eboni began to be more comfortable with the other women, she wanted to discuss politics and race with them. She expressed to Ramona Singer that she took issue with Ramona using the term, “the help.” Eboni also called out Luann de Lesseps for calling her angry when she didn’t react the same way after Leah McSweeney went off on the others.
There was also the episode in which Eboni had a dinner event in Harlem and taught the women about the Harlem Renaissance period. At this point, Eboni was accused of being “too preachy.” And friend of the show, Bershan Shaw, told her that the other women want to see a different side to Eboni that isn’t just focused on race, black culture, and politics.
Some fans have complained that the season has been boring and too political. And Bershan had something to say in response to this recently.
