Things get real.

After Kanan shoots Howard, he takes off and ends up stumbling. Apparently, a homeless man saw it all go down unbeknown to Kanan. He panics and decides to take his gun apart and toss all of it into the pond. Not too long after, Scrappy picks him up. Kanan is confused by this and expected Marvin instead. But Scrappy tells him he’s just following the orders he was given.

Scrappy tells Kanan to take off his clothes, especially Unique’s jacket.

Meanwhile, Raq is at church with her mom. Her beeper goes off and she goes outside.

Marvin meets Scrappy and Kanan. He tells them they need to get lost now that a police officer was the one put down. The police begin blocking off streets and Scrappy says they now have to go to Raq’s plan B. Howard is rolled into the emergency room and Famous notices. He tells Jessica he recognizes Howard.

The homeless man tries to tell police what he witnessed, but he’s high and taken into custody until he can give better descriptions.

Lou Lou is concerned about Raq’s decisions.

When Famous tells Lou Lou that Howard looks like he’s dying, Lou Lou begins to freak out. He thinks Raq is making some bad decisions. So he needs to get to her immediately to try to find out what’s going on.

Scrappy gets Kanan to Raq, and Kanan tells Scrappy he was wrong about him. And he now sees that Scrappy is real.  And Scrappy tells Kanan that he’s a soldier in his own right. Scrappy then pulls off and Kanan eventually realizes he left his clothes in the car.

Raq asks Kanan if he shot Howard twice in the chest and once in the head. Kanan doesn’t remember but he believes Howard is dead. Meanwhile, Burke learns Howard was shot and has leukemia. Now she wants to run the streets and find out who’s behind this.

Unique puts it all together.

When Unique finds out about Howard, he comes to the conclusion that Raq made the move to take him out of the game. With Raq thinking Howard is dead, she tells Kanan that Marvin will now get him out of town so he can stay safe.

Marvin is in Unique’s apartment building. He’s impersonating a NY Gas employee. He has the clerk at the desk sign a form saying that if there’s any damage from what he believes is a gas leak, the company won’t be held responsible. Marvin then breaks into Unique’s apartment. Meanwhile, Unique’s associates are being harassed by police about Howard.

Before Unique gets into his apartment, Marvin puts his bloody jacket in his closet. And Burke goes right back to Jukebox with questions. Jukebox says that Raq isn’t a drug dealer and sells hair. While she warned Burke that caps would be in danger after Unique’s re-up was shut down, she never said Unique would shoot a cop.

Lou Lou wants out.

Raq is moving their drugs from the apartment and bodega with things being hot. Jukebox goes to the bodega since Kanan is hiding out there. He tells her he had to shoot Howard to protect their family. She says they aren’t allowed to be normal kids and it’s a scary way for them to grow up. But Kanan thinks everything will be okay and Raq will protect them. However, Jukebox reminds him that Raq had him shoot a cop.

Marvin gets caught up as police are doing check-ins all over the city and causing traffic delays. He hands over his ID. They tell him he has a fresh warrant out for drug dealing and they arrest him.

Lou Lou makes it to the apartment. And he tells Raq she’s out of line. Once he learns Kanan is the one who shot Howard, Lou Lou tells Raq she’s wrong to have had him do this. For him, he wanted out of the game after he was told to kill D-Wiz. But this is the last straw for him. And he’s done. He wants to do legit business moving forward. But Raq doesn’t think they have enough money yet to walk away. So Lou Lou will have to continue to follow orders. And she’s sure she’ll be the “last b*tch standing.”

Juliana gives her account to detectives.

Burke and another detective go to the bodega to talk to Juliana. Kanan and Jukebox are in the back room hoping they don’t get discovered. Before the detectives walk into the back room, Juliana says she thinks it was Unique who shot Howard. And she has footage of him fleeing the scene with his jacket on. She didn’t see his face, just his jacket.

Raq manages to get the drugs down the shoot to the apartment below before police make it. She gets a phone call from Juliana alerting her that Marvin never made it to the bodega.

After Unique discovers the bloody jacket in the closet, he concludes he’s been set up. And the police come kick down the door to arrest him. As for Kanan, Symphony is sent to the bodega to pick him up. Jukebox and Kanan tell each other they love one another before they head their separate ways.

Raq can’t be trusted.

At the police station, Marvin is relieved when he finds out Toni is the one who turned him in.

Jukebox finally reads the letter Nicole left for her and cries tears of joy. Symphony gets Kanan out of town. And Raq smokes a cigarette to enjoy what she perceives is a major victory. Kanan narrates that the game is so dirty and eventually he had to learn that you can’t trust anyone, including your mother.

As for Howard, he survives. And he’s asked by Burke who shot him. Viewers aren’t privy to his answer.
