Candiace and Mia are still thinking about their blowup.
Mia is getting ready for the couples’ trip to Chesapeake. Her mother will watch the kids while she and Gordon are away. It’s the first time that the kids will spend that kind of time with their grandmother. So she’s a bit nervous because she doesn’t want the kids to feel uncomfortable.
She discusses her blowup with Candiace with Gordon. Mia doesn’t think it’s a good idea to bring mothers into feuds.
Candiace also discusses their blowup with Chris. At this point, Candiace believes Mia is insecure and projects this on the other women in the group.
Robyn and Gizelle aren’t going on the trip.
Ashley comes by Robyn’s home. They talk about the podcast event. Ashley feels Candiace came in on a “warpath” for Mia. And it wasn’t cool that she said Mia’s mother is low budget because her mother is a drug addict. And they are working on their relationship. But it’s possible Candiace doesn’t know all of this yet.
Robyn doesn’t know how to feel about Wendy these days. So the trip to Chesapeake doesn’t seem like a good idea. Gizelle agrees and sent a text saying that the invitation Wendy gave her and Robyn was rude. At this point, Gizelle doesn’t feel like going. And neither does Robyn.
Meanwhile, Michael isn’t going and Ashley suspects it’s because he doesn’t want to be around Candiace and Chris.
Gordon gets comfortable, Wendy talks to Mia about Candiace’s dig.
Wendy’s trip begins. Mia and Gordon are the first guests to arrive at the house Wendy booked. Gordon doesn’t waste any time making Wendy and Eddie laugh. They take shots and Wendy says that the goal of the weekend is “good vibes only.”
Karen and Ashley are en route to the house together. They discuss the fact that Karen is planning the vow renewal by herself. In a flashback scene, Ray says he’s fine with Gizelle coming. But he wonders who she’s bringing. She may need to bring the hairstylist, he says.
Mia explains to Wendy her background with her mother. And that her mother is a drug addict. When it comes to Candiace’s comment, Mia feels it was just plain out wrong. She herself would never call anyone’s mother out of their name.
The tension remains between Mia and Candiace.
Candiace and Chris arrive next. In a green screen interview, both Candiace and Mia aren’t enthusiastic about being around each other again. Candiace says Mia’s “big feet” may crack the foundation of the house. And Mia thinks Candiace needs to “get some” to be in a better mood.
After Gordon has a couple of drinks, he talks about enjoying the strip club with Mia. And it comes out that he’s attracted to “white girls.” He goes on to simulate “pleasuring himself with his hands,” and this makes everyone else uncomfortable. Mia thinks Gordon may have already had too much alcohol.
Gordon becomes the topic of conversation.
Askale and her husband Dre make it to the house. Not too long after, Gordon comes to Mia with his phone. He has a man named Justin on speakerphone. Turns out, Gordon has been planning to surprise Mia with a new G Wagon for their wedding anniversary. He tells Mia to be quiet as he tries to explain this to the others, and he says that he doesn’t always get a chance to tell Mia to “shut the f*ck up.” Wendy, Chris, and the other husbands are in shock.
Candiace, Askale, and Wendy go off to a room to discuss Gordon’s behavior. Candiace says that Gordon reminds her a bit of Michael since he’s an older man who can be a bit on the wild side. When Mia gets there, Askale asks if Gordon told her to shut the f*ck up. Mia says he probably did and they do talk to each other like that. Candiace says they should do that in private like she and Chris do.
Candiace and Mia start up, again.
Mia and Candiace discuss the comments Candiace made about her mother. Candiace says she was just responding the way she saw fit because Mia crossed the line with the question she asked Miss Dorothy.
Candiace says that it wasn’t cool for Mia to call her video low budget because she wouldn’t disrespect Mia’s projects like that. The conversation goes nowhere when Mia doesn’t back down from her criticism of Candiace’s music video. And Candiace tells Mia she has big feet and God made her “basic.” At one point, Mia calls Candiace a “broke b*tch” and Candiace says Mia’s mother is a “broke b*tch.”
It gets worse.
Karen and Ashley arrive. After rooms are assigned, Ashley asks Mia what’s wrong. She tells her Candiace is a “mean girl.” Candiace overhears this and tells Mia that they can go at it since she has something to say.
She goes on to call Mia’s mother low budget again and Karen calls her out. Karen and Ashley tell Candiace she has no right to make these comments and she doesn’t even know Mia’s story.
But Candiace doesn’t care. She tells Mia that she needs to watch her mouth and she needs therapy. Askale says that Mia is classist. Apparently, she and Candiace believe Mia looks down on people who don’t have the kind of money she has. Candiace then tosses some lettuce in Mia’s direction. Candiace calls Gordon Mia’s pimp and tells him to come tell Mia to “shut the f*ck up again.” Mia then throws lettuce right back at Candiace before the episode ends on a cliffhanger.
