Candiace Dillard is receiving backlash for her comments about Mia Thornton’s mother.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” star Candiace Dillard is no stranger to controversy when it comes to her actions on the show. Last year, fans couldn’t stop talking about her violent fallout with Monique Samuels. Now that Monique is off the show, Candiace, unfortunately, has been having issues with newbie Mia Thornton. It all started after Mia had some questions for Miss Dorothy during the “Drive Back” music video shoot. She asked if Chris Bassett is getting paid to manage Candiace’s music career.
For Candiace, she felt Mia crossed the line to ask this question. So she confronted Mia about this at Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon’s podcast event. After Mia called the music video “low budget,” Candiace promptly said that it’s Mia’s mother who is low budget.
Some of the ladies on the show believe Candiace went too far using the “your momma” clap back with Mia. This is due to the fact that Mia has shared that her mother is a recovering drug addict. A lot of fans of the show seem to agree with this sentiment. So they have been calling Candiace out for her actions on social media, even though Candiace would later say she didn’t know Mia’s situation at the time of the insult.
Hours ago, Chris responded to the backlash. And Candiace is beginning to feel as if her costars are turning on her.
