Stevie J. played a role in Mimi Faust’s first engagement to Ty Young not working out.
Mimi Faust went through a lot with Stevie J. Over the years, he’s been unfaithful. And the “Love And Hip Hop Atlanta” star didn’t honor the promises he made. During a recent interview with Ts Madison, Mimi beamed about being engaged to Ty Young again. She discussed their first engagement not working out.
“I was scared, I was terrified, I was like…I said yes in the moment because it was cameras and stuff around. And two days later I was like, ‘Ahhh!’ I freaked out.”
When Madison asked her what she was afraid of, Mimi said, “Commitment. It’s my past.” Mimi went on to say that her past with Stevie traumatized her.
“Stevie was probably my biggest lesson in life, my biggest life lesson probably was that.”
Mimi was able to work through her traumas through therapy. But it was hard to let her past with Stevie go. “Yes. I’ve been holding on to this my whole life. It was very hard for me to let go. These are the reasons why my relationships always failed. This is the reason why when someone did honestly and genuinely love me I was terrified to commit because of my past and my traumas so it was tough.”
Mimi Faust believes the video she did with Nikko London brought about one positive thing.
Interestingly enough, being with Stevie wasn’t the only challenging time in her life. When Mimi made that video with Nikko London, she received backlash. In fact, she has said it’s something she fears discussing with her daughter. Despite that, there is one thing she feels is positive about it. She said, “I’ma get paid for the rest of my life.”
She continued, “Anybody that’s in a hotel that pulls it up, anybody that can…whenever you pull it up and you watch it unless it’s on a little snippet…”
Madison finished Mimi’s sentence, “On a tube site?”
Mimi is also grateful Eva will make money from the video when she is deceased. “Then I said when I die, when I’m dead and gone if somebody wants to watch it…”
Madison once again interjected, “Your daughter gets it.” She added, “That’s how it works for smart individuals.”
