On the season finale of “Power Book II: Ghost,” Brayden comes through in a big way for Tariq. To keep Trace from testifying, Brayden takes the stand in Tariq’s case instead. He says he is the one who was selling drugs. And he started CourseCorrect so he knows that Tariq didn’t kill Reynolds or Ramirez. Reynolds’ book was about him. The case is dismissed. However, Brayden’s father pulls him out of Stansfield. And Tariq still has no idea that Brayden played a role in Lauren’s disappearance and silence.
When it comes to Lauren, her fate is revealed. Neither Effie nor Brayden tells him what they know and what they did.
Cane is told by Monet and Mecca to take out Lorenzo. However, Monet’s real plan is to kill Mecca. She realizes Cane’s life is in danger because Mecca knows that it was Tariq and Monet who set him up to be robbed. As Monet, Lorenzo, Diana, Tariq, Cane, and Dru come together to kill Mecca; Zeke gets caught up.
Mecca’s connection to the DEA brings about the return of a familiar face. And it’s possible this person will team up with Saxe to finally put Tariq in prison.
Plus, Tariq gets a sweet update about Tasha and Yasmine.
