Tommy is impressed.
While Tommy is driving, Claudia runs up on him yet again. When they step out of their cars, she tells him that the new drug she has is more than chemistry. It’s actually more like alchemy. He’s not impressed. She then kisses him, putting the drug into his mouth. Tommy gets an instant high and goes home to tell Liliana about the drug. In his opinion, it was the best high he’s ever had.
He hands some of the drug over to Liliana to check out, hoping she’ll be able to cut it like she does the c*caine.
Seamus gets a reality check from Diamond.
Diamond is getting a good jog in when he is put in handcuffs by Officer Seamus. Seamus doesn’t care for Diamond because he killed 5 people with a bad batch of drugs in 2006. One of the people affected by this is someone he knows named Kiki Watkins. Diamond doesn’t understand the hostility because he took the drugs right off the street when he realized they killed people. Plus, he served his time. And he’s changed his ways.
Seamus doubts Diamond has changed. Regardless, Diamond reveals that he knows Seamus is a dirty cop who takes money from the Flynn family. And he warns Seamus that dirty cops don’t do so well when they end up in prison. So since they both have a past, it’s best that Seamus doesn’t act so self-righteous.
The Serbs want Tommy dead.
Jenard vents about Tommy and Diamond to Elijah while sniffing some c*caine. He’s upset that he put in a lot of work to move CBI forward while Diamond was in prison. And it seems as if Tommy just came along and messed things up. Although Elijah suggests they break away and do their own thing, Jenard refuses to leave CBI. But he’s willing to fight for his power in the organization.
Mirkovic, the current head of the Serbs, is furious that Tatiana was killed by Tommy. And he wants to kill him.
Liliana hasn’t been able to figure out how to cut Claudia’s new drug. Tommy is worried about her safety because he knows the Serbs will come for her. He offers to get her out of town but Liliana refuses to leave. She would prefer to stay in Chicago and be Tommy’s partner. He says he will agree to this if she does as he tells her.
Mai and Claudia are already having tension over their new drug business. And Mai threatens to take the product to someone else who can do what’s necessary to move things along.
The plan is set.
Tommy meets with Diamond and Vic. He wants both men to work with him to take out the head of the Serbs, Mirkovic. If they do this, he’ll give both men a stake in the Serbs’ pipeline, which, Tommy plans to take over. Vic has already agreed to this. But Diamond still has some things to think over. And he’s not really feeling Tommy’s idea to also bring in Jenard. Regardless, the idea is for all the men to work together and split it all nearly equally because Vic will give up 1 percent of his profits so that CBI will have 34 percent.
Diamond talks things over with Jenard. He’s not really convinced they should do this. However, Diamond is tired of the black crews just being corner boys. This is their chance to take power and the deal is too good to walk away from. Jenard agrees.
Vic tells his associate Simon that the deal with Tommy and CBI is a good one. If they do this, they can make enough money to break away from Walter to form their own crews.
Claudia agrees to split profits 60/40 with Tommy, with Tommy getting the bigger share. But she’ll need him to handle something for her first.
Walter is too stubborn to take Paulie’s advice.
Tommy shows up outside of what appears to be some type of storage facility. From afar, he watches Mai meet with a man named Bobito who works there. Bobito has access to the storage and barrels that Mai is using for the new product. So while Bobito is using the restroom, Tommy pulls a gun on him, and gives him so cash to do what he is told so he won’t be killed.
While Vic and Gloria are having an intimate moment, Walter’s right-hand man Paulie looks on and takes photos. He passes it all on to Walter, who is outraged. He wants Vic to find an Irish woman to be with. But Paulie thinks Walter needs to let it go because he’s nearing the end of his life.
Gloria receives a visit from Walter.
Walter doesn’t listen. Instead, he goes to Gloria’s bar. He tells her she will not be the woman Vic marries and has children with. So if she wants to pay back her debt to the Flynn family in full, she should leave Vic alone. She doesn’t have to make a choice now but time is ticking. Gloria notices Walter is sick as he struggles to stand.
The two detectives who were are investigating Walter seem to think his right-hand man Paulie is the best way to take him down.
JP looks at old childhood photos and notices that Tommy is behind him in one of them.
Walter and Vic clash.
Vic calls out Walter for what he said to Gloria. He strongly believes it was a threat. And he’s not going to stand for it. Walter tells Vic he just wants him to settle down with an Irish woman. But Vic questions how that worked out for Walter. Walter responds by slapping him. Vic then storms off. And Claudia tells Walter that Vic isn’t made like him.
The Serbs get a hold of Liliana. They demand to know where Tommy is. She doesn’t answer. So they break her middle finger. She responds by flipping them off with the broken finger.
Claudia walks into Gloria’s bar. She says that Vic bought Gloria’s land and it’s worth $2 million. Claudia can transfer the rights over to Gloria and she will be wealthy. Then she will be able to leave Vic’s life. Gloria isn’t moved. She says that Walter already came to threaten her. And even though he’s sick, he’s still stronger than Claudia, who she sees as weak. Claudia questions what Gloria means by Walter being sick but Gloria doesn’t answer. She kicks Claudia out.
Mai strikes out with Claudia.
Tommy and the gang begin their attack on their Serbs. Unfortunately for Vic, his associate Simon is shot and killed. Meanwhile, Mai goes off on Claudia about the product being stolen while Bobito was supposed to be watching. Mai blames it all on Claudia. And she thinks Claudia was the wrong Flynn to work with because things are going left. After she slaps Claudia, Claudia stabs her to death.
In the shoot-out with the Serbs, Elijah is also killed. This upsets Jenard. But they take out all of the Serbs’ soldiers. Tommy receives a phone call from Mirkovic, and he learns that Liliana is in their possession. When he asks for Diamond and Vic to help him get her back, they tell him they did what they agreed to. And they aren’t helping him on this. Jenard looks on.
Liliana survives.
Tommy meets up on the street with Mirkovic and his men. Mirkovic is holding a gun to Liliana, and telling Tommy that he’s done more to hurt the Serbs than Liliana has. So Tommy questions why he wasn’t taken instead but before the conversation can finish, someone drives by in a black vehicle shooting. This causes Mirkovic and his men to leave and Liliana to be freed. Tommy notices Liliana was shot, luckily the bullet went straight through her shoulder. So she’ll be fine.
Not too long after Jenard is seen burning the car. It seems he was the person who did the drive-by that saved Liliana’s life.
