Jernard wants Tommy dead.
Tommy and Claudia’s new drug Dahlia is becoming popular in the nightclubs. But Tommy wants to expand even faster. In order to do this, Tommy feels they must come up with a cheaper version. So they will need to cut the drug.
While Diamond and Jenard are talking at the barbershop, D-Mac walks in with Marshall. The two young men say they have a plan. And it would be beneficial for CBI to sell drugs in Gary, Indiana because it’s an easy way to expand territories. Plus. Marshall has a cousin there who can handle business for them there.
Jenard says he likes this idea. However, Diamond doesn’t feel good about this. Later on, Jenard pulls D-Mac to the side. And he says Tommy must die later that night if D-Mac wants the Gary territory to happen.
Jenard makes more moves behind Diamond’s back.
After being sick for a while and keeping it a secret from his children, Walter learns he has lung cancer. He tells Paulie he hit back at the Serbs because he thinks they shot at Vic recently. Paulie tells Walter this wasn’t the right move. And it won’t end well.
Vic finds a letter from Gloria saying she left town to clear her head and they have to end their relationship. She doesn’t believe Vic will ever be able to separate himself from his family’s business.
Even though Diamond wasn’t feeling the plan to set up shop in Gary, Jenard tells D-Mac and Marshall to move forward. And they are not to tell Diamond. Jenard feels Diamond has forgotten how crucial it is to keep moving forward as an organization.
D-Mac warns Tommy.
Tommy and Claudia were able to force Dr. Lauryn Williams to continue to cook Dahlia. But Williams wonders if people may start wondering where she is and police could come looking for her. She also doesn’t want to miss the third date she has with a man she really likes. So Tommy tells Liliana to go out with Williams to meet the man.
JP tells Tommy their grandmother had an aneurysm recently. So Tommy needs to contact Kate because she needs to know. However, Tommy doesn’t want to do this. And Tommy doesn’t want her in life ever again.
Tommy is walking down the street when D-Mac walks up on him. Tommy’s reflexes are on point. And he shows off the gun he’s wearing on his waist. D-Mac tells Tommy that someone wants him dead. So he needs to watch his back. When Tommy asks him if it was Jenard or Diamond who put him up to this, D-Mac doesn’t answer.
Claudia rubs Tommy the wrong way.
Claudia and Liliana have a meeting with women they have working at clubs and spreading Dahlia to partiers. Liliana overhears Claudia saying she wants a redhead to set up Vic. So Tommy plans to intervene. He shows up at the club Vic frequents and he sees a redhead putting Dahlia into Vic’s mouth. Jenard experiences the drug in another nightclub by the same means.
D-Mac and Marshall nearly come to blows when Marshall confirms he’s doing the Gary operation without D-Mac. It’s also revealed that D-Mac is the one who’s been shooting up JP’s club.
Tommy confronts Claudia for drugging Vic in the club. She says she just wanted to send a message. And he points out that the bodyguards for the Flynn family have been following her around.
Tommy also says she was wrong to make moves without telling him. She apologizes. And she’s going to make sure she doesn’t make a move without him knowing again. After she leaves, Liliana reminds him that she told him Claudia can’t be trusted. Tommy now agrees but Claudia is still needed…for now.
Diamond is being targeted.
When it comes to Adrienne, the woman Diamond has been spending time with, it’s confirmed that she’s actually an undercover journalist. And she’s writing an exposé on Diamond.
Jenard and Diamond clash over Dahlia. For Jenard, the smart thing to do is for CBI to get their hands on it and sell it. However, Diamond isn’t comfortable with this. He’s afraid a new drug will put him on the fast track back to prison.
Vic has been drinking a lot since Gloria broke things off. He blames Walter. And he hates that his family caused him to lose her.
Tommy’s plan works.
Diamond meets up with Tommy to ask if he knows anything about Dahlia. Tommy doesn’t say much and Diamond says the drug could change everything.
Jenard and Marshall meet with Marshall’s cousin in Gary. He agrees to work together.
Williams is able to make another and cheaper version of Dahlia. She, Claudia, Tommy, and Liliana laugh as they sample the new drug. The high is intense.
