Miss Vanessa made some interesting comments about Melody Holt and Martell Holt.
Martell Holt and Melody Holt‘s divorce has been a hot topic on “Love & Marriage: Huntsville.” Their marital issues have turned into a messy co-parenting situation. Martell has threatened to fight for full custody. And he’s accused Melody of working too much to really be there for their children. As for Melody, she’s accused Martell of making things as difficult as possible for her. And she said the book signing situation was just one of many.
Interestingly enough, Melody’s mother Miss Vanessa made some interesting comments that have LAMH fans talking on social media.
During her interview with Lula Abera, Miss Vanessa talked about Melody’s willpower to become independent after the divorce.
She said, “She couldn’t have went through what she went through and still excel where she has if God’s favor was not on her life. Melody was ordained from my womb.” Miss Vanessa continued, “People see, what they say, ‘You see the glory but you don’t know my story.’ People see when she moved into this house she had no furniture. We were sleeping on air mattresses. You know because her ex-husband, even though they had two houses of furniture, he wouldn’t let her take any of it.”
Getting her life back on track on her own was important to Melody.
“And she was determined that she was gonna do it on her own without anyone’s help. And I would come up and the kids would be running around just as happy. So I think a lot of the time we learn the things we think we have to have and we don’t have to have. And happiness is one of the things we do have to have.”
I mean I believe it ????????♀️
This man has done a lot of evil things to Melody but delusional and male identified women still act like he’s some victim and they bash Melody for everything including the way she talks. This show can be triggering because the fan base constantly highlights the issues in our community such as misogyny, bitterness, and the coddling of men.
This is why I like Melody. I don’t care about the petty stuff that happens on the show. But I admire any woman who is strong and ambitious.
It’s interesting that Miss Vanessa and Martell’s mom barely get any scenes on the show but Wanda is forced down our throats just about every episode. Why does Carlos King not want a more balanced depiction of black mothers on LAMH?
@Realness to be honest. None of the Mothers on this show are positive examples. The mothers are enablers.
@ Okay, I completely disagree. What I do know is Wanda is the only black mother on this show who speaks very incoherently and disrespects everyone. She’s the only one who talks about fighting people and drags innocent black children. Carlos rewards her behavior by giving her the most screen time and we barely get to see the other mothers because Carlos only likes black mothers that fit a certain stereotype. He’s been this way since RHOA and LHHATL. Momma Joyce and Momma Dee became prominent figures while he was producing those shows. I know I’m not the only one who has noticed this.
Wanda is good for ratings and engagement. Social media gets more lit after an episode with Wanda.
Carlos is not interested in positive representation for our community, his only concern is that the shows get renewed every season.
This doesn’t make sense though. He could still show the other mothers more so the show could be better balanced. He’s putting Wanda in scenes that don’t even make sense and it’s taking away from the show’s authenticity. This isn’t a good longtime strategy. People get turned off when reality shows become fake and forced. And they stop watching.
Realness I noticed the same thing. Carlos definitely has a certain formula and it’s very anti black. People used to call him out for the toxicity but his image got revamped and now people feel he can do no wrong. It’s weird to see the switch up on housewives twitter too. I really wish we didn’t have to see Wanda all the time. She is the only mom on the show who actively gets into the mess and makes it even worse. I don’t like how she talks to everyone else either. Very disrespectful.
Anyway, I really like Miss Vanessa. And I enjoy her interviews. She’s classy and I appreciate that.
I give Miss Vanessa her props because the way Wanda keeps dragging Mel, you couldn’t be mad if she decided to be petty and drag Latisha. I mean especially since fans said on here that Melody is fair game. And people can do and say whatever they want to her. I don’t know if I could be this mature if a 50 something year old woman kept coming for my 30 something year old daughter. But I respect Vanessa for being more mature than me.
No parent is perfect but Ms. Wanda is on a whole other level of messy and problematic. I don’t always agree with Ms. Vanessa or Ms. Marlene, but they ain’t nowhere near as bad as Ms. Wanda! Wanda really acts like she’s the star of this show and Latisha loves using her as her attack dog. It’s not fun to watch either!
Martell never wanted a divorce so he does mean spirited and petty things like this to punish Melody for leaving. It’s sad because they don’t have to hate each other just because the marriage wasn’t working. Their children deserve better. And they want their parents to get along.
I don’t think Wanda is all that great for ratings. Some people have actually stopped watching because of her.
In my world Ms. Wanda would had been checked. LATISHA IS DUMB AS F-CK Stevie Wonder can see what she don’t. I’m about to stop watching because I can’t believe these women that stupid. Kimmie a sh-t starter low key don’t care her either I call her petty Betty. The last episode when Martell couldn’t attend the event because of Kimmie trying to keep drama down but, then invited ALL the drama ladies was outrageous. Melody is irrating and petty as f-ck too. If I was Martell I wouldn’t f-ck with none of them. His boy’s suckers he can’t get included to nothing because his so called boy’s listening to their petty as wives about him that has nothing to do with him. Have everyone forgot that Melody not a saint either she had her share if male friends during there marriage.
Wow that was a lot but I digress. Martell is a pompous a**hole. He is very insecure, childish and petty. If that is what you are looking for in a leprechaun then Martell is for you. The men on this show is with most men are the way they are because women are okay with their bad behavior. Martell throws rocks and then hides his hands in his pockets. I beleive everything Melody’s mom said because when men don’t get what they want become more childish and bitter. Martell still try’s to play the wounded victim and I find it hard to look at him or listen to him talk with his lying cheating a**.
Wanda is an embarrassment as a black mother. She isn’t a good example for all of us that go strong for our kids. Latisha is a grown woman and married, Wanda need to get a life. But leave it to Carlos King to create mess. He loves mess, unbelievable how he constantly have Wanda on the screen but not the other mothers. Martell’s mother goes hard for her son and melody’s mother go hard for her daughter but it’s a classy delivery. Carlos King is horrible and loves dysfunction.

He’s got some nerve, she has to work hard thanks to him. If he didn’t cheat on her she would not be working so hard. Martell is a clown and fool. His motives are her giving him a monthly check, so he can live good off her dime. I can’t stand him.
