DJ Duffey and Brooke Bailey are receiving backlash from “Basketball Wives” fans.
Nia Dorsey and Brooke Bailey exchanged words on the current season of “Basketball Wives.” Brooke didn’t like the meme Nia posted to Instagram ahead of Angel Brinks’ gender reveal party. The meme praised out-of-wedlock baby shower food. When Brooke saw the post, she took it as a jab at Angel. She told the rest of the ladies about it. And Angel wasn’t happy about the post either. Nia ended up arguing with Brooke and DJ Duffey at the event. Duffey then decided to go get Roccstar so that he could have some words for Nia as well.
Although Angel and Nia were able to hash things out in Las Vegas, things only worsened for Nia when it comes to Duffey and Brooke. Eventually, another argument ensued. And Nia’s sister Noria Dorsey called out Duffey for dragging her into the drama. Brooke got involved. Duffey threw a paper plate at Noria. At some point, Brooke threw a drink at the sisters and Noria responded by throwing a glass at Brooke. Unfortunately, the glass hit Brandi Maxiell and she was injured.
Some fans have been critical of Brooke’s actions on social media. They believe she is overdoing it when it comes to the meme. And they feel this way because even Angel has moved on from the situation. So they don’t understand why Brooke and Duffey don’t seem to want to let it go. Both women have been accused of doing the most on the show for a storyline.
Brooke Bailey doesn’t think she’s a bully.
Interestingly enough, Brooke addressed the criticism on Twitter. She wrote, “It was champagne in a plastic cup. I felt as tho they were antagonizing me. That was better than me getting physical (editing). Also, it’s a show for entertainment (Yes) & if you get a moment you should carry it. That’s not being thirsty or looking for attention.” Brooke added, “That’s doing your job. If you’re mute the entire show & get a moment use it. #BasketballWives”
She then took a shot at the sisters, “I was trying to help cast w/no voice to step they game up. They dropped the ????. ” Brooke continued, “They talk more on the internet than the entire season. Then guys want ✌???? ????.”
Brooke also denied being a bully, “Never been a bully in my life.” She added, “Never will be. 1. I naturally talk aggressive. Either talk that sh*t back or get yo soft a*s tf on!”
As for Noria, she said that Brooke threw glass first but it was edited out of the episode.
Brooke and Duffy both are trying to be relevant periodt.Brooke was being very aggressive for no reason and Duffy you sure did NOT have that energy with Tammy!!
I think Brooke is a bully and a slick instigator. I don’t like her on Basketball Wives. Duffy is a slick instigator also.
Nah, Brooke has her bully moments for sure. She only came for the sisters because she thought they were weak. When she realized they wanted the smoke she got scary and threw stuff from a safe distance. But when Bambi told her to line it up, she didn’t want to fight Bambi. Not a fan of the sisters but I’m glad they don’t let any of these women punk them.
I still can’t believe they made a storyline out of a meme.

The arrogance is so annoying. She wasn’t trying to help Nia and Noria get screen time. She was helping herself to a storyline because she didn’t have one. Brooke was someone I used to like on the show but this arrogance and thirst she’s displaying now is a bit too much for me. And I agree that Duffey only thinks she’s tough now because Tami isn’t there to check her.
And this is why you’ll see Evelyn and even Tami back at some point. Most of these storylines are dumb and a complete reach. The OGs are needed to bring back real beefs.
Brooke’s voice is enough to make you stop watching. I agree she is thirsty this time around. Nobody is checking for DJ Duffey. Keep the job with French Montana.
Brooke is a busy body. First, what kind of friend is she and Duffey to show the DM in the first place. Especially at the shower and then pull their friends dude in the mix of girly issues?
The previews for the next episode show Brooke in Brandi’s ear re Malaysia… she’s not relevant but trying to be. She is not anyone’s friend!
