Micah’s NFT sale brings ridicule to Charley and Davis.
Ralph Angel had a rough night sleeping in their new place. He’s outside on the porch tired when Darla comes out to console him and promises they will make it home.
Meanwhile, Charley’s texting Micah non-stop. His NFT sale of Charley made national news and it’s ruining his vibe at Zane’s pool party in Los Angeles. Zane tries to cheer him up, reminding Micah that it’s the biggest NFT sale in his firm’s history. He then tells Micah to make a donation to a group helping refugees at the border as Charley and Davis support them.
Back in New Orleans, Billie’s cooking breakfast for her and Nova. Dominic’s trip to Sudan got extended and he can’t make it home in time for a date. Billie can’t go because she has a date with the Trombone player they met the other night.
Hollywood learns Joaquin and his brother could have trouble at school.
Meanwhile, Hollywood is with Joaquin’s brother and baby Tru. Hollywood lets him know that he has his back. The conversation leads to Hollywood suspecting something isn’t right with the brothers regarding school.
Later on, Darla and Ralph Angel meet with the co-op farmers about taking over ownership of the Queen Sugar Mill. The farmers debate the idea of buying the mill and it becomes a tense conversation, especially between Mrs. Parthena and Prosper.
Back in LA, Zane and Micah meet with a colleague who asks Micah about his next NFT project. Things get serious when Micah accepts LSD from Zane’s colleague. Aunt Vi is with Darla at the diner and gets impressed by the revenue generated from the farmer’s market. This leads to Darla venting about the meeting with the farmers about the mill. She’s exhausted from proving herself to the farmers about leadership.
The next day, Nova visits a teacher who is fighting with school parents from stopping Nova from speaking in her class. The teacher is ready to fight and Nova’s ready to help.
Darla gets a letter from Chase which rocks her.
When Darla gets home, she’s shocked when she receives a non-disclosure agreement from Chase in the mail. In a panic, she calls Jordan, letting her know about the contract and to not tell anyone. Ralph Angel tries to call Darla because she’s late for Baby Tru’s doctor’s appointment and can’t get in touch with her.
Prosper returned home from the meeting with the farmers with dinner for him and Sandy. Billie and Hollywood are planning their bachelor and bachelorette parties and they’re excited. During dinner, Prosper asks Sandy if she feels they’re moving too fast and Sandy says no.
It’s time for Nova’s talk to students and she talks to them about the history of ring shouts and how they influenced American music.
Meanwhile, Darla decided to head to an AA meeting to speak and vent about the stress of the NDA and how she almost relapsed because of this. She wants to keep all of this from Ralph Angel, however, the counselor disagrees with this.
Micah’s Grandmother shows up to call him out.
Back in LA, the day turns to night and Micah and Zane are still at the party. Zane is doing his best to convince Micah to make more personal family moments NFTs for sale. But the party ends abruptly when Micah’s grandmother appears and crashes the party.
Apparently, Charley had to use her mom to get Micah and handle this. As Micah sobers up, he explains what he’s going through regarding his photography and the NFT studio. His grandmother lets him know that what he’s doing isn’t him and he shouldn’t be hurting the family this way.
Meanwhile, Nova’s friend and Weedman stops by and she vents about the movie deal. He asks about her ex Calvin and Nova tells him Calvin turned himself in. Darla also made it home. Ralph Angel knows something is wrong but doesn’t push Darla to tell him.
Darla struggles to tell Ralph Angel about what happened.
The next day, Nova’s teacher friend tells her the group that wanted to stop her from speaking to her class is now fighting to ban books. They’re even looking to ban books from Toni Morrison. Meanwhile, Micah wakes up and sees a photograph from his professor in his grandmother’s home. She tells Micah that he’ll create art pieces as impactful as his professor.
Later that evening, Aunt Vi hosts Sandy’s Bachelorette party. The women play drinking games and Mrs. Parthena is thankful to be invited. Meanwhile, Hollywood and Ralph Angel host Prosper’s Bachelor party at the hangout spot. During the party, Prosper asks Ralph Angel to be his best man. Ralph Angel happily obliges. Eventually, the parties become one when Sandy and Aunt Vi lead the ladies to Hollywood’s place. Nova later calls Dominic but he doesn’t pick up.
After the party, Darla and Ralph Angel hang out and gaze at the stars. Darla’s adamant she’s okay. They end the night with a dance under the stars.
