Melody and Stormi continue their talk.
The episode continues with Melody and Stormi still in their one on one. Stormi tells Melody that while she knows Melody doesn’t contact the cast when filming ends, she didn’t realize Melody would do it to her. Melody responds, letting her know that Stormi should’ve DM’d her. She also mentions in her interview that her real friends respect her boundaries.
After the sit-down, Stormi says she knows how to manage their growing friendship and doesn’t want to hinder its growth.
Meanwhile, Keke walks into Kimmi’s event. LaTisha sees her, rolls her eyes, and keeps her distance. Kimmi and Martell talk and Kimmi lets Martell know they will always remember him with Melody. In her interview, Kimmi says Martell finally acknowledges he messed up.
Martell won’t take no for an answer.
Speaking of which, Martell offers to walk Melody to the door when she leaves but Melody declines.
Eventually, it’s the day before Kimmi’s surgery and she’s at home with Maurice. They speak about her preparation for the surgery and recap the party. Kimmi says the party was good for her spirit.
They bring up Melody and Maurice tells Kimmi that Melody does need time to recharge, away from the rest of the cast. Kimmi brings up her conversation with Martell about Melody. She speculates that he misses Melody. However, Maurice says Martell is “double-minded,” and has regrets for the mistakes he brought forth in his life. He also mentions Martell moping around after walking Melody to the door.
Martell reveals, yet again, that his relationship with Sheree Whitfield isn’t serious.
Speaking of Martell, he meets up with Chris and Nell Fletcher. It was the Fletchers’ date night and Martell didn’t know. Despite the divorce, Martell’s not exclusive with anyone and is having fun. However, he wants to be married again. Nell asks if he’s exclusive with Sheree and he tip toes around the question.
Chris asks if Sheree’s the one and Martell says, “We’ll see as time progresses.”
When asked how long he’ll date Sheree, Martell replies, “When God says go, you go,” referencing Melody’s t-shirt line. This leads to Martell speaking about his court battle with Melody. Martell says Melody has used too many babysitters. He also says it doesn’t make sense that her brother Marcus came to town to watch the kids when he’s available.
Ultimately, Martell wants Melody to agree to hire specific people to look after the kids.
LaTisha’s cousin Courtney convinces LaTisha to give Keke another chance.
Meanwhile, LaTisha’s at Blaque and meets her new bartender. She also wants to talk to her cousin Courtney. During their talk, LaTisha mentions she has her brokerage license now and wants Courtney to join her new brokerage firm. Courtney will consider her offer. Of course, this leads to Courtney asking if LaTisha could get in a better space with Keke. LaTisha says she doesn’t know if she can do that. Courtney says Keke’s suffering from a loss and that hurt people hurt people.
However, LaTisha says she can’t trust Keke right now. Courtney pushes LaTisha to have an outing with Keke. LaTisha will do it if Courtney agrees to join her brokerage firm. Courtney joins.
Melody pours her heart out to Nell Fletcher.
The next day, Melody’s out walking with Nell Fletcher. After praising each other regarding their businesses, Nell asks Melody about her dating life. Melody says she’s just dating, living her life.
Melody feels Martell is dogging her to their friends and is lying about everything. She tells Nell that Martell no longer has control over her peace. She begins to cry when she mentions that she can no longer see her children every day. However, she says Martell can’t use the kids as a way to control her. As a result, Melody reveals she changed her number five times since the breakup.
Later on, Latisha’s at a kickboxing class where she invited Keke to meet. Before they talk, they both participate in a tense boxing workout. After the workout, they speak about their relationship and what occurred at the reunion. Keke says she didn’t want to hurt her cousin. They re-hash what was said by Keke last season.
While Keke understands she was wrong to comment on LaTisha’s marriage, she feels LaTisha and Marsau were also wrong to share her past addiction with Melody and Martell.
The conversation irritates LaTisha. The episode ends on a cliffhanger.
