‘Married to Medicine’ Recap: Phaedra Tells Gregory That She Has Concerns About Sweet Tea

Heavenly and Quad are having tension over Lateasha.

Quad and Phaedra catch up. Phaedra has her young “butler” Benji make them drinks so they can gossip. They discuss Gregory’s engagement. Phaedra says Lateasha “slid in” his DMs. Quad thinks Toya is being spiteful by befriending Tea. But she expects that because Toya hates her and she doesn’t know why. Producers flashback to scenes of Quad accusing Toya of having an affair and setting Anila up to be robbed.

Phaedra confirms that Toya alleged Quad had been arrested for DUI recently. Quad said she was “cited.” But she declined a field sobriety test but her lawyer got everything dropped. So the legal situation is over. In a green screen interview, Quad says it was messy for Toya to bring this to the group. And it shows how much Toya hates her.

But what bothers Quad more is Heavenly has been hanging out with Tea. She didn’t like to see her cheesing with Tea on an Instagram post. She expected loyalty. So she’s not trying to hear it when Heavenly tells others that Quad hasn’t been checking on her.

Tea is stressed out about the wedding.

Lateasha tells Greg she’s stressed out from wedding planning. She wants him to be more involved but he doesn’t really want to be. Regardless, Tea tells him he has his role to play. And she’s going to become a bridezilla if he doesn’t step up.

As the tension dies down, Greg is happy to help Tea review wedding cakes. Tea chuckles at this.

Dr. Jackie checks out a pregnant Da Brat and her partner Judy. It’s the rapper’s first child at age 48. The couple is excited.

Toya is excited to be launching her new wine club business. She’s already been having a lot of success with the wine company she partnered up with.

They decide to have a talk with their sons about ***. It’s a hilarious moment for the family.

Tea’s friend puts her on blast.

Lateasha invites Phaedra, Toya, and a friend to help her try on wedding dresses. Phaedra tells Tea she has no butt. Lateasha is proud of her natural body and feels the other women have gotten work done so they can’t relate. When Tea’s friend is asked how they met, she says they met in a group for women who date older men. Toya says these women are called sugar babies. So this is a Sugar Babies support group.

Tea and her friend say they are not sugar babies and the term is “age gap” relationships. They need support because their friends and others in their personal lives do not understand why they are with older men. It’s considered taboo.

In a green screen interview, Tea says the women in the group act very old at times. They need to understand the ways of millennials. But they don’t understand because they are her grandmother’s age.

Tea is having a hard time with the other ladies.

When they get together at Toya’s wine party, Heavenly tells Tea that she was told she is getting therapy for dating older men. Tea clarifies that she is in an “age-gap” Facebook group. So Phaedra got that wrong. Phaedra says she didn’t say Tea was in therapy. But she did think it was a support group.

Tea tells the others she believes they have been coming at her a lot. Jackie apologizes for bringing up how Quad decorated Greg’s house in the past. Toya and Phaedra apologize for telling her she needs to wear a girdle on her wedding day. When Tea becomes emotional and walks away, Simone follows her to check on her. She says she is stressed out about the wedding. Simone tells her that men do not help with weddings and Heavenly has always been the toughest one to crack. So just give it time.

Meanwhile, Jackie tells Heavenly that they need to talk to Quad to see how she feels about them being around Tea.

The night ends with another embarrassing moment for Tea.

When Tea comes back, the women realize she still has a price tag on her dress. They begin laughing at her. Heavenly says she was going to take back the dress.

In a green screen interview, Jackie said Tea doesn’t have access to her “big daddy’s” account yet.

Tea calls it a night because it’s late. They tell her she can stay out late because she’s marrying an old man and “Paw-Paw” according to Phaedra.

Phaedra has a bite to eat with Gregory to ask him if he’s going to get a prenup with Tea. She doesn’t know if she trusts her and the age gap is very concerning. Greg says he loves Tea because she makes him feel safe and Quad scared him. Phaedra warns Dr. G to just make sure he gets a prenup.

  1. I’m sorry I can’t look at Dr. Greg’s wife mouth… it’s disgusting to look st her mouth with those teeth. She looks like Mr. Ed’s wife. She is very insecure and childish. After tonight’s episode I recorded it but I fast forward every time she was on. She is nothing but a Gold Digger and this is not hating. I am married to a sport agent and you see individuals like her all the time. Just my opinion.

  2. Greg, looks pitiful, he is dealing with a kid, I’m not to keen on Quad, but at least she had some class. This girl is childess and think sex is all that’s required to catch a real man. Relationship are more than sex and Greg shows his immaturity with this girl. It’s pathetic as the way he acts towards her, it seems like nothing they have in common it SEX.. that will get old. What’s wrong with her Mouth? Every time she talks I cringe!!!!😬

  3. Black women can be some of the biggest bullies ever and I hate that for us. It’s sad to see grown women think it’s acceptable to degrade someone for their looks and body type. This whole show is toxic. And fans just eat it right up sadly. This isn’t entertaining. It’s disturbing.

    1. I agree and I wasn’t raised to pick on people and be a bully so I don’t think this is funny or entertaining either. Heavenly and Jackie are evil for asking Tea to be on the show just to humiliate her. Black women as a whole need to treat each other better.

      1. I agree with you both. Some people will sell their souls just to make a dollar, and that includes black women tearing down other black women. Sadly, these are so-called “professional women.”

Heavenly and Jackie are two of the worst human beings I’ve ever seen. I don’t care if this is a reality show, their characters are just representatives of who they actually are. The things is they’re just getting paid to be who they are deep inside. Yet, they claim to be Christians. Miss me with that!

  4. I’m honestly not surprised to see elder black women bully a millennial. A lot of them are mean spirited to younger black women. 🤷🏾‍♀️

  5. I guess Quad forgot that they looked down on her the same way they are doing Tea when she first came on the show. Jackie was the ringleader – she said Quad was too ghetto and uncultured for the show. Mariah was the only one who had her back then. But now she’s enjoying seeing it happen to someone else. These women are gross.

  6. Every season Dr. Jackie is showing hersel to a truly mean girl. She throws the rocks and stands behind Heave ly’s loud mouth self. Jackie and Heavenly are a real pair, they talked Leteasha into coming on the show to be the main ones dragging her, out of friendship with Quad. Who believes that?
Quad has forgotten how she has been dragging Toya for years, and doesn’t understand why Toya does not like her. Girl, bye.
