Chris and Nell’s family dinner ends in disaster and with hurt feelings.

The episode begins with Nell and Chris Jr. arguing over the dog Chris Jr. needs his parents to take care of. This back and forth leads to his brother Lance stepping in, airing out his grievances about Chris Jr. not being a good employee.

Things escalate even further when Nell’s oldest Lexi speaks out about the car her parents purchased for her. Lexi uses this as an example that she’s treated differently. Her siblings refute this, leaving Lexi feeling left out even more. Everyone begins shouting when Lexi brings up them “barely” showing up to her wedding, which they deny.

Lastly, Lexi threatens to leave and Nell calls her bluff with the support of Lexi’s siblings. When she walks out, her sisters feel relieved and Chris follows her out. Unfortunately, this creates an argument between Chris Sr. and Lexi.

Stormi’s ready to facilitate a sit-down between Keke and Tiffany.

The next day, Courtney and Stormi are enjoying wine in their backyard. While relaxing, Stormi tells Courtney about her talks with Keke and Tiffany. She set up a sit-down for Keke and Tiffany and she hopes it goes well.

Next, they talk about Kyle and Canvas Beauty. Stormi’s appreciative of Kyle being COO and how things improved since his arrival. Stormi’s proud of where they’ve come from prior. Courtney lets Stormi know that he hired Junior again and Junior’s seemingly a changed man. However, Stormi isn’t sure if it was the best decision. Courtney reassures that Junior will do the right thing this time.

Martell finds a new place to live.

Meanwhile, Martell and his brother and Uncles moving furniture into a new home. Martell had a realtor find a new home to rent and he accepted the offer. It’s fortunate because Martell has surgery upcoming and he needs a steady place to rest up.

Martell calls Chris to tell him he’s out of the home and Chris is happy. He asks Chris how Nell is doing and Chris uses the moment to set up some time to talk about what occurred with him and Nell. Martell agrees to the talk.

The next day, Melody has her best friend Brittney over to help pack up Seventh Avenue Skincare orders. Melody uses the time to ask why she didn’t show up to the name change ceremony. Brittney says she was celebrating her niece’s 16th birthday in Atlanta. Despite this, Melody’s disappointed Brittney didn’t show up. She was around when Melody first met Martell, whom she calls ‘LIl Buddy’, and was there for their wedding.

But Brittney says she was there in spirit and asks what she can do to make things right. Melody suggests she help with Melody meeting a man to date. Brittney agrees to help and says they look outside Huntsville. Melody jokes about going abroad to find Love.

Chris suggests to Nell they look into family counseling in light of their disastrous family dinner.

Meanwhile, Chris visits Nell at their daycare to recap what happened at their family dinner. Chris says he’s torn because they’ve been through this before with Lexi and Nell is drained by it all. He acknowledges that he has a strained relationship with Lexi. They bring up Chris Jr. next and how he’s ignoring Nell’s phone calls. This leads to Chris talking about how the kids and their niece aren’t comfortable talking to Nell about things.

Chris mentions how the kids feel Nell doesn’t feel supportive and is mean. But Nell doubles down on her feelings about how she’s going to speak to kids. Nell says she has every right to go from “0 to 100’ on the kids and that the kids need to grow up.

Chris suggests they get family counseling. Nell reluctantly agrees.

Lastly, Stormi invites Keke over and hosts her in the guest house. Stormi notices that Keke’s sweating in the guesthouse and Keke acknowledges that this is a symptom of the methadone she’s on as part of her recovery journey. Next, Stormi asks if she’s spoken to Latisha and Keke says no and she’s blocked LaTisha from calling. This saddens Stormi as their dynamic reminds her of Betty and her sister.

Finally, Stormi brings up the comments Tiffany made during her interview with Carlos King and Keke says she’s never done anything to Tiffany. It’s at this point that Tiffany walks in.

  1. I’m siding with Nell. As Mothers we tdnd yo coddle our kids because we like to keep them happy but when we stop and put our feet down it’s a problem.
Tiffany brought her baby as a shield against Keke. She thinks her baby will somehow protect her.

  2. I stand in agreement with Nelle. Chris Jr and Alexi need to drop the entitlement syndrome which alot of kids millennials have harvested as part of the DNA. Your parents money is not your money as many of them seem to think. The arrogance of self entitlement was nauseating to watch and sadly this scene is playing out in homes all across the country. Not a good look and hopefully seeing their actions on screen will send a needed wake up call. Good parents are a gift everybody doesn’t get.
Tiffany should seriously listen to her husband that this show is not good for their marriage. Listen while you have time. Mel is living her best life now.

    1. Well said, Sephora59! I concur!

I’m glad that Chris and Nelle are hopefully, joining the cast full-time. Their family dynamic is what Love & Marriage is all about. Kudos to Nelle for standing her ground. Yes, the new generation does seem to feel entitled. Entitled to what? Generational wealth still has to be earned.

I also agree that KeKe needs to stop while she can. This show is not for her. There are too many skeletons and they’re not for everyone to know about.

As for Mel, I’m glad to see her get back to life but having a name change celebration as if it’s a wedding was not necessary. She could have spent that money on a trip or something else. Yes, I do believe that it was a dig at Martell. Be free of Martell! Because the first time you present a big fine hunk, that will be all the revenge you’ll need. He will not be able to handle it, trust me. I don’t care how many women he goes through.

Martell is immature. Now, Sheree and you are done so quickly and you ran back to the baby moma. Martell, you’re just using women for your own personal gain. You need to go back to the Doctor/Therapist.

I’m wishing this show success but you all definitely need to do some revamping.

      Best Wishes!

  3. I believe the show is building up Chris n Nell’s role, so that Tiffany n Louis can gracefully exit, which they need to. Tiffany isn’t a good fit and hasn’t been from the start, as my opinion. I also wonder does KeKe really need to be on this show. I commend her on her recovery, but it seems fragile. Her behavior at the BBQ was inexcusable regardless of LaTesha’s actions. Keke needs to be focused on strengthening and maintaining her recovery. Not about LaTesha n Marsal’s marriage, nor what falls out of Tiffany’s goofball mouth.
