Vanessa, Jackie, Brooke, Evelyn, Jennifer, Jac’Eil, and Brittany discuss the drama that just went down with Clayanna.
Brooke has no regrets about assaulting her at the birthday party Jackie planned for her because she felt like Clayanna came in combative. At this point, Jackie isn’t sure that Clayanna can even be convinced to let her guard down.
In a green screen interview, Brittany says she has a lot of opinions but she’s decided to keep them to herself. In her opinion, anyone who expresses an unpopular opinion from the group ends up with a target on their back. In her opinion, Clayanna was tagged from the beginning.
She later has a one-on-one conversation with Jackie about the situation and expresses this perspective. Jackie encourages Brittany to speak her mind to the others.
Evelyn’s mediation with Clayanna doesn’t go as planned.
Evelyn and Clayanna have a conversation as well. It doesn’t go well because Clayanna doesn’t think she’s out of control. However, Evelyn feels she crossed the line when she puts her hands on Jennifer.
In a green screen interview, Clayanna says Evelyn can’t check her about anything when she has her own violent past on the show. She also thinks it’s hypocritical for Evelyn to check her for assaulting Jennifer when Evelyn thinks Brooke is in the right to assault Clayanna.
Back in real time, Clayanna says she thinks she can move forward with Jennifer. But she doesn’t think it’s likely that she and Brooke can move on.
Tears flow during Jackie’s group meditation activity.
Jackie invites the ladies to a session with a shaman to encourage peace amid all of the tension. Clayanna and Vanessa didn’t receive an invitation. It’s an emotional time for all of the women as they open up about the things they want to release. Evelyn breaks down in tears and says her friendship with Jennifer means a lot. The friendship is like home for her. Jennifer agrees. Both women want to be better friends and sisters to each other.
Jac’Eil realizes she was too hard on her mother when it comes to her childhood. She understands now she worked three jobs and it made it hard for her to be there at times.
Brittany wants to release the resentment she has toward her son’s father.
Jackie wants peace for Brooke amid the pain she’s dealing with regarding her daughter’s death.
Brittany thinks the session went well. When she inquires if they can extend grace to Clayanna and Vanessa, Evelyn isn’t interested. She says Vanessa is telling people that Christian has an older child that Jennifer doesn’t know about. Jennifer says she knows about the child and was just with them recently. She and Christian talk about everything, so there isn’t anything new she can tell Jennifer about Christian. So this is why she’s on the same page as Evelyn. She wants nothing to do with Vanessa or Clayanna.
Clayanna wants to make up with Jac’Eil.
Clayanna and Brittany catch up. Clayanna doesn’t feel her issues with Jennifer and Jac’Eil can’t be worked out. But she really can’t stand Vanessa.
Jennifer and Evelyn discuss how to move forward with Shaniece. Since they are serious about their friendship, they agree the next step is for Jennifer to hash things out with Evelyn’s daughter.
Jac’Eil meets with Clayanna to hear her out. Clayanna apologizes for coming for Jac’Eil’s engagement ring during their argument. She understands she took her anger out on Jac’Eil when she didn’t deserve it. Jac’Eil accepts her apology and they agree they will move forward.
Evelyn and Vanessa hash things out.
Jennifer, Jackie, and Evelyn confront Vanessa about her actions. Although Vanessa says she only researched Christian to look out for Jennifer. Jennifer thinks Vanessa was just being messy. And she needs to focus more on her marriage because she’s miserable.
Evelyn tells Vanessa that she is taking her pain out on others. She left Carl the moment she found out he was cheating. And Vanessa should do the same because she doesn’t love herself. She mentions Vanessa told her she had a miscarriage after one of her husband’s side chicks threatened to expose him.
At this point, Evelyn asks Jennifer and Jackie to leave so she can finish talking to Vanessa alone. She breaks down in tears and tells Vanessa she deserves better. Vanessa says she was hurt because she did want another child. But she’s grateful Evelyn was vulnerable.
Evelyn explains that she doesn’t want Vanessa to feel attacked. But she has to move differently in the group.
What are your thoughts about the episode?
This season of Basketball Wives is really the best one yet! Someone needs to give the casting director a raise. I love the different views on the show. Clayanna is my favorite so far. She calls it straight down the line which is very refreshing. She’s got spunk! 😀 I am still trying to figure out the Evelyn/Jennifer comeback. I don’t know why Evelyn is so pressed to have Jennifer as her bestie. Can Jennifer truly be trusted? Will Jennifer fake her way through the whole season? I guess Evelyn has to have a OG buddy since coming back to the show. And for the love of Pete, can somebody – anybody please tell Brooke to stop talking like Kim Kardashian! Brooke’s whining voice is tap dancing on my last nerve! 😩😟
Evelyn did that mess on purpose. That was her get back for Vanessa starting with her first.
