Ronnie attempts to make his own moves.

One of Kanan’s runners is arrested. He calls Lou Lou to bail him out by pretending to be the young man’s relative. Meanwhile, Raq just signed the contract on her new commercial property. Her plan to clean what’s left of her drug money is working out so far. However, she doesn’t like the interaction she has with two officers who claim their territory happens to be where her new property is located. They hint that they will need to be paid off to stay out of Raq’s way. They also confirmed they researched her and know she has a son.

Ronnie meets with his old associates and asks for money to start his hustle. Snaps agrees to it but tells Ronnie that the requirement is he must get other investors.

Marvin visits Gerald at the newspaper where he works to return his work IDs. It turns out Gerald is an entertainment reporter for the paper. He and Marvin agree to talk and hang out more since Gerald’s been struggling with life since their anger management classes wrapped up.

Jukebox receives good news.

Raq takes a trip to Kanan’s school to check on him since he no longer comes to see her. He’s cold to her, and she can tell he’s into something he shouldn’t be when she notices the young men he’s hanging around are wearing pagers. Regardless, Kanan tells her nothing.

Ronnie goes to the bingo spot to speak to Unique and Raq’s old connect, Deen. Deen tells Ronnie he will not work with him or Unique. He’s done doing business in Jamaica Queens. So he wants nothing to do with either brother. In response, Ronnie grabs Deen by his collar. Deen’s men respond swiftly with guns, and Ronnie backs down. Deen then tells Ronnie that Unique and Raq were getting drugs from the Columbians. So Ronnie is at the wrong place.

Jukebox finds out her audition was a hit, and she made it in the new girl group.

Raq visits Kanan’s place while he’s away to place a gun in his backpack. She buys Famous’ silence with cash.

Marvin confronts Lou Lou for missing Jukebox’s big audition. Lou Lou apologizes and makes it very clear that he understands he messed up majorly. Marvin admits Lou’s work with Juke helped her improve, so Lou must know what he’s talking about when it comes to music. This brightens Lou’s mood, and he invites Marvin to the bar to see a potential new venture for them.

Raq’s plan works.

Kanan takes Juke to a nice restaurant to celebrate her good news. He tells her he is proud of her and when they were little, he worried her friends would steal her away. Juke assures Kanan she will always be in his life. They tell one another they love each other.

Marvin and Lou Lou speak to Shirley at Cafe Vous to discuss their ideas to expand the venue’s clientele. Shirley is fine with this since she will now have both to pass the business on to.

Ronnie tries to talk to the Colombians about getting product to sell but he is turned down because they don’t care for Unique. He tells them he can deal with Unique if his little brother is a problem. Joaquin tells him to leave while Juliana looks as if she’s considering reaching out to Ronnie on her own.

Raq tells Unique they have to stop messing around because it’s time for her to get her relationship with Kanan back on track. And he’s going to be moving back in soon. They agree to hook up once more.

When Kanan goes to school, the metal detector goes off. The security officer finds the gun in his backpack and arrests him. He denies being the owner of the gun.

Ronnie gets his revenge.

Raq and Kanan meet with the principal. They are told that Kanan will not go to jail, but he will have to comply with state laws so he won’t be sent to the juvenile detention center. So that means he has to live with Raq and not fail any of the home checkups. If he doesn’t, Raq could serve time as well.

Unique confronts Ronnie about his actions with Deen. But Ronnie won’t admit to seeing him recently. Unique is about ready to wash his hands of his brother.

Marvin, originally, thinks about selling drugs in their bar but Lou Lou begs him to keep the place clean. He agrees to this but presses Lou to make sure the drinks are good enough to make money.

Howard has a brief chat with Raq about Kanan. He was able to make it so charges would not be filed over the discovery of the gun. But he tells Raq to stop calling him for favors. She has to start cleaning up her own messes, and Raq needs to be careful, too. The detectives don’t buy that Crown was a criminal mastermind. So, Raq is still being looked at.

Kanan looks on as their conversation ends.

Ronnie stabs Deen to death while his grandmother is watching television.
